Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay Partners with Local Roofers to Replace

Hurricane Damaged Roofs Before Next Season

Tampa, FL, December 04, 2018 --(PR.com)-- In recognition of National Roof Over Your Head Day,
Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB) is pleased to announce that 65 low-income homeowners will
receive new roofs over the next six months, with 20 of these roof replacements occurring in December.
The goal of this large-scale roofing project is to repair roofs damaged by 2017's Hurricane Irma and to
prepare homes for the 2019 hurricane season. The work will be completed through a partnership created
between RTTB and four local roofing companies, and the funding for this major project comes from the
American Red Cross, Volunteer Florida, and the City of Tampa.

On Wednesday, December 12, RTTB is hosting an event for the media to meet the participating roofers,
Dynasty Building Solutions, Ryman Construction and Roofing, Rain or Shine Roofing, and Top Dog
Roofing, to tour two of the roof replacement projects, and to learn more about the community benefits of
this collaboration.

When: Wednesday, December 12, 2018

Where: 7202 N. Navin Ave., Tampa 33604

Time: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

RTTB Executive Director Jose Garcia said, “We are very thankful for our partners and their commitment
to creating safe and affordable housing in our community. We want to demonstrate that agreements like
this can help us deliver better and more services to homeowners in need.”

Vanessa McCleary, Housing and Community Development Manager for the City of Tampa, said, “The
work that RTTB is doing to replace, repair, and reinforce roofs before the next hurricane season is very
important to our residents. By leveraging the city's funding, they are able to help more low-income
homeowners and impact more Tampa neighborhoods in need. We appreciate the willingness of the
roofing companies to partner with RTTB, allowing more people to be served.”

The participating roofing companies have agreed to a flat rate per square foot for the work and will split
the projects equally between them. The American Red Cross and Volunteer Florida provided grant
funding to aid residents of Hillsborough County whose homes sustained damage from Hurricane Irma.
The City of Tampa also provided hurricane recovery funding. RTTB is combining and leveraging funding
sources to help repair as many homes as possible.
