events and turning points of the war
in Europe and the Pacific; and
The students will participate in a role playing
activity in which they will hold a conversation with
another classmate while they act as different
leaders of World War II. This will be a homework
assignment. In class, the teacher will invite all the
students to join her classroom in the Slack App.
Once they are all logged in using their emails and
their names as their usernames, she will show how
to select students to hold a direct conversation
with. The students will be able to pick their own
partners, but will be warned to keep the language
appropriate for the classroom and to keep in
character- no personal conversation. They must

include at least two real events of the war in their

discussion. When they are completed, they must
screenshot their conversation and email the file to
the teacher.
