Riveted joints:
1. Draw the different types of rivet heads and take the thickness of the plates as 9 mm.
2. Draw the sectional front view and top view of the Single riveted lap joint and the thickness of the
plates is 9 mm.
3. Draw the sectional front view and top view of the Double riveted chain lap joint and the thickness
of the plates is 9 mm.
4. Draw the sectional front view and top view of the Double riveted zig-zag lap joint and the
thickness of the plates is 9 mm.
5. Draw the sectional front view and top view of the Single riveted single strap butt joint and the
thickness of the plates is 9 mm.

Keyed Joints:

1. Design a saddle key to be used in a shaft of diameter 30 mm.


2. Design a hallow saddle key used in a shaft of diameter 25 mm.
3. Design a taper sunk key to connect two shafts of 30 mm. diameter.
4. Draw a gib head key to use in a machine member shaft of diameter 30 mm.
5. Design a sunk key to be used in a shaft of 32 mm diameter.
6. Show 6 splines that are used in a shaft of 32 mm diameter.
7. Draw a woodruff key to join a wooded shaft of diameter 28 mm.
8. Design a round key to join a shaft of 30 mm diameter.

Cotter Joints:

1. Draw Cotter joint with sleeve with a rod diameter of 50mm.


2. Design a Cotter joint with socket and spigot ends with a rod diameter of 50mm.
3. Draw Cotter joint with a gib with a rod diameter of 50mm.
