Q3)
Discussion

The most frequently used electronic test equipment in this lab are
multimeter, function generator, power supply and oscilloscope. This are
the main equipments that are used throughout the lab for part B and
part C. Part B Electronic Circuit Analysis 1, this experiment is about
series and parallel circuit. Construct the series circuit in breadboard
required 100Ω resistor, 100nF capacitor and 8mH inductor. Then
connect to the function generator. The positive will connect to the
positive leg of resistor 100Ω and the negative will connect to the ground.
Then set the function generator output to sine wave 1kHz and 8 Vpp.
Measure the voltage resistor and the current across the circuit which is
Irms. Thus, measure the voltage across the capacitor with frequency of
1kHz-100kHz. Series circuit is complete and then follow the same
procedure for parallel circuit. in parallel circuit where the inductor and
capacitor are in parallel.

Part C Electronics Circuit 2 Analysis 2, this experiment is to

construct the timer circuit where the IC pins are connected to the
components. Pin 1 is ground which is connected to ground, Pin 2 is
triggered which has connection of resistor R1 and capacitor C1, pin3 is
output and it connects to R1 and LED, Pin 4 reset which connected in
between VCC and R2, Pin 5 control which is connected to the C2, Pin
6 is threshold which is connected to triggered, Pin 7 is discharge which
is connected between R1 and R2 and Pin 8 is VCC which is connected
to the positive power supply. Then measure the capacitor C1 and C2.
Conclusion

In conclusion, the experiment part B and part C are well

diagnosed and demonstrate the electronic circuit using the electronic
testing equipment. Thus, the electronic test instrument are important
tools for the design, development, manufacture, calibration, and repair
of electronic circuits and equipment. Last but not least, at the end of
experiment learn to read the IC schematic diagrams and the pin
numbers. In IC schematic diagram the pin numbers and their functions
are important to complete the timer circuit.
