ABSTRACT
The existing oil well system has a high power consuming process. It has the incapability of oil well structural health
monitoring and administrators have to frequently go to the oilfield to check the oil well status and collect its health
analysis data and also administrator has to take charge of a number of oil storage tank. Intelligent monitoring system
for oil well can be divided into three consecutive parts. The first part consists of sensors. It consists of temperature
sensor, pressure sensor, gas sensor for data sensing. The unit converts all measurements into electrical signals and
then transports them into its corresponding control heads. The normal temperature of the oil storage tank is preset as
50°C. When the output of DS18B20 goes above 50°C, a short SMS will be send to the administrator. The normal
concentration of combustible gas level is 300ppm. Under normal conditions, When the concentration of combustible
gases like natural gas, iso-butane is high, the gas sensor output is greater than 750ppm, a notification will be receive
by the administrator. For the second part, the CPU in this system is the ATmega 2560 microcontroller (control heads). It
is a standard ATmega core CPU make suitable for industrial control. With the analog input pins of 16 can enable the
sensor to interface with the Arduino. Arduino mega will read the parameters from the monitoring sensors from the first
part. The third part is the wireless communication module which is the ZIGBEE module is used for the wireless
transmission between the second part which is Arduino and PC for better monitoring by the administrator. Zigbee is
reliable and requires lower power for operation.

The fundamental problem with the machine is of equipment failure due to improper operation. The Industrial Machinery
& Equipment industry consists of companies engaged in the manufacturing of basic power and hand tools, hardware,
small-scale machinery and other industrial components. The system is designed and built for industrial machines which
operate in heavy load zones. The system is simple and user-friendly. This system is using arduino as the main
microcontroller. The main entity of any field which can ensure for effective performance. The system can monitor the
process value and control the values on needed without human interface. Reducing human interaction technically and
desirable in processes by replacing them with programmed electronic systems. Useful in rural areas as well the device.
Mobile communication in device control has been thoroughly justified. Previous drawbacks and problems have been
overcome in this project with many improved features.

Developing a secure locking system based on fingerprint scanning using microcontroller accompanied with an interface
circuit has been used for lock and unlocking pattern based on fingerprint which is stored in microcontroller itself so that
only authorized person will access the security lock. Instead, they find alternatives. Fingerprint Recognition was the first
biometric approach to verify the person by downloading the images of the sample in the database. The image is first
analyzed and then identified, extracted and stored the images in the file of the database. For the identification process,
first it compares the query image against with the image stored in the database and then it verified. From the above
result, it has been cleared that the use of the biometric system offers a better and more reliable resultant. Moreover, it
is restricting the starting of the vehicles by an unauthorized user. Generally, passwords identification cards and PIN
verification techniques are being used but the disadvantage is that the passwords could be hacked and a card may be
stolen or lost. The most secure system is fingerprint recognition because a fingerprint of one person never matches the
other. Biometrics studies commonly include fingerprint, face, iris, voice, signature, and hand geometry recognition and
verification. The system provides a secure and hassles free way to start/stop vehicle engine. The user just needs to
scan finger to start the car, no need to carry any key. The system only allows authorized users to start the vehicle.
Users can first register into the system by scanning fingerprints.

Queuing system is a system that is used to control queues especially in hotels, banks, movie theaters or any public
events. The motive is to control the crowd by limiting the access to certain areas. Queuing problems occur when
customers sit too long waiting for their turn. The purpose of this system is developing a model that can smoothen the
process. The first step is to develop a model for the system in question ,whereby customers can scan the QR Code on
the printed token number and view the running number from a distance place using the internet. With the
implementation of this system, it allows a user to view a queue number using their smartphone, thus it, helps way to
monitor & track your real time queue status remotely using a smartphone without the need to be physically chained to
the waiting area at the outlet. It offers peace of mind because the real time queue status update on your smartphone
ensure you will not miss the queue.
Batik is the traditional craft product of Asean but it is most commonly produced on a moderate scale by SMEs via the
screen printing method. They struggle to produce it on a larger scale and usually take a much longer time as they will
compromise the quality of the batik if they rush production. In order to upscale the production of batik, SMEs resort to
sub-contracting their work to printing companies. This brings the production costs up and decreases the profits of these
SMEs. Previous researchers have suggested that there be some automated systems to produce batik in a more
traditional way that is more cost effective. Therefore, this project attempts to design and put to practice a semi-
automatic system specifically in printing and drying steps that can help batik SMEs to upscale production. Additionally,
this project also aims to develop an optimal drying process as required by batik producers. By introducing this
automated batik production machine, hopefully it can help those who have involved in the batik industry in pattern
making and promises high precision, accuracy and efficiency.

Corrosion is one of an aircraft owner’s worst enemies and if left untreated, corrosion can cause unsightly damage to
the aircraft and create a serious safety risk. For this reason, it is important for them to inspect their aircraft frequently to
minimize this corrosion effect. This product also user friendly where it detects the air level and scanning on the aircraft
body when the person needs to do an inspection. In line with that, this project aims to detect corrosion for a small
aircraft using a color sensor. When applying the power supply from the laptop, the sensor will be on and it will works
when the reflected light falling on an object will be reflected on surface characteristics. This function will work as
reflectance and transmittance. Once it's detected or recongine the color which had program it and goes to out ehich is
lcd and pc. This project expected to produce an output drives to shows corrosion is happening and the level of
corrosion stage as a result will give at the graphical user interface (GUI) as a notification at LCD and show data history
at pc. This project is specializing in detecting corrosion color of aluminium material. The example of corrosion colors
are white, grey and black. Moreover, this prototype can reach a blind spot and narrow area.

Agriculture is the cultivation of land and breeding of animals and plants to provide food, fiber, medicinal plants and
other products to sustain and enhance life. Agriculture was the key development in the rise of sedentary human
civilization, whereby farming of domesticated species created food surpluses that enabled people to live in cities. In
presents days especially farmers are facing major problems in watering their agriculture fields example they have no
proper idea about when the power is available so that they can pump water and even after they need to wait until the
field is properly watered, which makes them stop other activities. According to the International Water Management
Institute, agriculture, which accounts for about 70% of global water withdrawals, is constantly competing with domestic,
industrial and environmental uses for a scarce water supply. In attempts to fix this ever growing problem, many have
tried to form more effective methods of water management. One such method is irrigation management. Irrigation is a
method of transporting water to crops in order to maximize the amount of crops produced. Many of the irrigation
systems in place do not use the water in the most efficient way. Here is an idea which helps not only farmers even for
watering gardens also, which senses soil moisture and switches the valve automatically when the power is ON. Design
And Implementation of Intelligent Urban Irrigation is an artificial application pumping water to land, to know when and
how much to water is too important and to make the farming works easily. The goal and aim of the project is to design
a service in a small-scale automated irrigation system for indoors that would use water in a more efficient way, in order
to prevent water loss.

Currently, the photovoltaic technology becomes commercial in generating electricity due to the growing cost of
electricity and concern for the pollution due to uses of fossil fuels in generating electricity. The photovoltaic (PV) panels
are used to harvesting the solar power and convert to electrical energy. However, some environmental factor like dust,
dirt and other foreign particles reduce the efficiency of PV panels and solar power output. Hence, an effective cleaning
method needs to design to keep up an excellent efficiency in PV panels to produce a significant amount of solar power.
The aim of this project is to design a PV panel cleaning robot by interfacing android apps to monitoring the push button
of robotic system and the photovoltaic system to view data and information. The robotic system represents a
progressive method in cleaning the PV panels, specifically to design a device that increases the maximum power
output of a PV panel by 10% (recovering the amount of power lost). Furthermore, this cleaning robots is also design to
naturally adapt the cleaning process in residential and small-scale area. This design will give a beneficial result in
reducing the dust accumulation on the PV panel and improve the efficiency and solar power output.

Suitable environmental conditions are necessary for optimum plant growth, improved crop yields, and the efficient use
of water and other resources. Over that, in this modern era, the world is getting reliant on the internet which is a huge
global network that allows people to communicate with each other, or search for any information. A user controlled
irrigation system eases the user to water his crops or plants. In this project, we proposed a device or prototype of an
irrgation system that has the ability to notify the user whenever his crops need water and the user can control his
irrigation from anywhere he is as long as there is a Wi-Fi connection The microcontroller (NodeMCU), used is a low
power, and is an open source IoT platform. It includes firmware which runs on the ESP8266 Wi-Fi. It communicates
with the moisture sensor units in real-time in order to monitor the irrigation process efficiently and it gives the user the
information when moisture levels in his garden, or farm goes low. An android based mobile application, named Blynk, is
used to give the user information on his crops’ moisture levels and through that application the user will be able to
control his irrigation system. Also, the use of easily available components reduces the manufacturing and maintenance
costs. The main objective of this project is to design a simple and easy to install a Wi-Fi microcontroller-based circuit to
monitor and control the irrigation system from a far distance in order to optimize them to achieve maximum plant
growth and yield. Furthermore, this type of irrigation system will highly increase the efficiency of crop watering
wherever it is implemented.

Chemical lab utilized for logical research take numerous structures in view of the varying necessities of specialists in
the various fields of science and engineering. Other than that, in this era there are very rare to find light weight robotic
arms that helps in chemical laboratories. This project presents about design, analyses development of robotic arm for
sorting multi chemical material. The major problem that urges the initiation of the project is the fact that the
manufacturing industry is growing at a relatively faster rate. Most of the company produce high load robotic arm. Less
company creates a light weight, and affordable robotic arm. As a result, light weight and the affordable robot are
developing to cover this issue which mainly for chemical substances. The suitable material was used to construct the
body of the robotic arm, and an optical sensor was implemented to provide basic recognition of object or material to be
carried. The robotic arm used five servomotors for the overall operation ,joints and the gripping mechanism. The
gripper was designed and fabricated using perspex due to the light weight and high strength of the material. The
operation of the robotic arm will be done by using the help of Arduino which can control by mobile application , (GSM)
Global System for Mobile Communication and error detector . This prototype is expected to provide a valuable
significance to a laboratory.

As an advanced welding method, diffusion welding is widely applied in aerospace, instrumentation industry, engine
manufacturing, etc. Not only the diffusion welding can realize the connection of different metals, but also it solves the
difficult welding problem between metals and ceramics. Aiming to research the diffusion process during welding, this
study investigates the diffusion behavior and mechanisms of Cu and Ag under different pressures and surface
roughnesses in the aspect of the atomic level by using the molecular dynamics (MD) method. From the results, we can
find that the pressure influences obviously the second thickness growth stage, which is one of the three stages in the
whole diffusion process. The grooves generated by the surface roughness, is filled mainly by the deformation of Ag,
which fits the initial surface profile. The diffusion is promoted as the contacting area increases. Whether the surface is
smooth or rough, the pressure has little impact on the final thickness. This study succeeds in explaining the diffusion
mechanism, which is significant for the experiments of diffusion welding in practice.

Its very difficult for mute people to convey their message to regular people. Since regular people are not trained on
hand sign language, communication becomes very difficult. In an emergency or other times when a mute person
travelling or among new people communication with nearby people or conveying a message becomes very difficult.
Here we propose a smart speaking system that helps mute people in conveying their message to regular people using
hand motions and gestures. The system makes use of a hand motion reading system equipped with motion and flex
sensors along with a speaker unit. This system is powered by a battery powered circuitry to run it. A raspberry pi is
used for processing the data and operating the system. The system consists of around 10 stored messages like “need
help”, “where is the toilet/washroom” and so on that help mute people convey basic messages. The system reads
person hand motions for different variations of hand movement. It also consists of a trigger sensor in order to indate
that the person wishes to activate the system and speak something. This ensures the system does not speak when the
person is just involuntarily making hand motions. The raspberry pi processor constantly receives input sensor values
and then processes it. Now it searches for matching messages for the set of sensor values. Once it is found in memory
this messages is retrieved and is spoken out using text to speech processing through the interfaced speaker. Thus we
have a fully functional smart speaking system to help mute people communicate with regular people using a simple
wearable system.
The robot is used to operate or control restaurants and canteens for serving or delivering to the tables. It will replace
the workers to serve the foods or drinks to customers.Basically, this robot move by identifies the predefined path by
using color sensors for the robot to detect the color line to serve to the right customers. Each table have a different path
of color lines. The switches are used for communication between the robot and the customers to recognize the path
between the tables and the kitchen. All the tables in the restaurant will have a different path of colors to make the robot
track the line as it moves from the kitchen to the tables.Using this lines, the robot would deliver the foods and
drinks.Once the order is placed, the robot will return back to the kitchen for the next delivering order. The system is
useful to improve the serving management in restaurants .This project uses the robot to give better service to
customers. A prototype also unique by using colorful lines. Its attract and encourage more people to come.

In the current global computing world, the children and women harassment, chain snatching, kidnapping, sexual
harassment and eve teasing are increasing day by day, becoming more unsafe and helpless. This proposed system
will be highly effective from other existing technique in helping the victim. The children with activity tracker wristband
that has access to IOT monitoring and GSM technology keeps monitoring the children 24 hours a day. So the prototype
proposing a system that works on the controversy of children using the IOT. This project proposed a device which is
integrated with multiple devices, comprising of wearable " Activity Tracker Wrist Band" which is programmed with all the
required data which includes the behaviour of the human reactions like anger, anxiety, nervousness and fear. When
these situations are faced by a victim, the various sensor generates the emergency signal which is transmitted to the
smart phone. The system effectively monitors the children presence within the expected zone. When the person
crosses the monitoring zone, then based on the IOT Monitoring system, GSM sends help request by sending a
message to the parents and the people in the near radius. This system would be highly sensitive and easy to handle.
Its quick action response will provide better rescue to every individual user.
A solar car used for land transportion are usually run on only power from the sun. However, some models will use
battery or solar panels to recharge batteries or run auxiliary systems for a car that mainly uses battery power. A feasible
alternative source of renewable energy is solar power technology. Considering the crucial hindrances in developing
and implementing the system solar powered car, the necessity of simulation tools comes in front. For this reason, this
project aims to develop and demonstrate a dynamic model of a solar car. is explained including the approaches to
develop the model of different components from scratch and how to use it to test and verify the behavior of them. The
dynamicity of the model offers the user to change the parameters of every components and environment to fit their
purpose. The scope of the project extends to the combination of all components of the solar car to test overall system
at diverse car velocity for any single day of the year. The invention of this project also aims to reduce air pollution to
help clean the air and preserve our planet for future generations.

Digital image analysis is certainly the most universal way in the medical field to analyse the microbial structures.
Additionally, the image processing and analysing method can help to overcome the limitation of inaccuracy of
measurement. This project proposed a portable digital microscope of digital image analysis for micro-scale structures
that will be captured on a petri dish using an adjustable camera rather than using a mobile phone as a medium to
capture the structure or organism that will be transferred to the computer for the analysing purpose. The use of a small
camera cost lesser and easy to assemble than the mobile phone camera. With this system, users will no longer need
to transfer the picture manually to do the analysis using an open source software. The main objective of this project is
to capture and transfer the microbial structure in a petri dish using a camera directly to the computer via Wifi. This
prototype is expected to provide a lot of benefits to people especially in making a quicker analysis and precise results
of microbial research. The invention of this prototype will give notable significance especially in reducing the time for
microbial analyzing and reading error and ease the analysis process.

Solar is a nonconventional source of energy and one of the most important means of renewable energy resources.
However, due to the revolution of the earth, the sun does not face the panel continuously hence reduce the electricity
produced. The energy panel should face the sun at all-time till the sun is not visible. The problem above can be solved
by a system by automatic tracking the solar energy. The method is by using LDR as a sensor to detect the light
intensity of the sunlight. A microcontroller based Arduino will be used to control the motor driver and move the solar
panel to face the sunray at maximum intensity at all time. This system is automatically operated without any use of
manual labor. The main objective of this project is to make sure the solar panel will face perpendicularly to the sunlight
from sunrise till dawn to ensure maximum solar energy is harvested. The use of BLYNK software connected with wifi
module to collect the data throughout the day and comparing the immobile solar panel with the solar tracker panel for
the energy harvested. This project is expected to improve the current solar panel efficiency from 30% to 60% thus
reducing the cost of purchasing more solar panel to achieve optimum power output.

The demand for high efficiency and high reliability of power distribution has indirectly introduced some challenges to
the power distribution companies. This has led to various constrains such as environmental issues, the high cost of
establishing a new power plant, and the restriction on the existing built transmission line. A new concept known as
Distributed Generation (DG) has been introduced to overcome these constraints. One of the technical issues created
by DG interconnection is inadvertent islanding. The DG units will still continue to provide power to the respective
connected line and this lead to the formation of an island. This project implemented a metaheuristic optimization
method known as Lightning Search Algorithm (LSA) into the test model in MATLAB Simulink in order for the islanding
of the non-detection zone ceased to energize within a specified time lag. The main objectives of this project are to de-
energize the remaining power within 2 seconds or less by determining the acceptable and reasonable range of values
of voltage and frequency of the system and to design the real system of the islanding detection zone by using MATLAB
Simulink. This project is expected to meet the IEEE std. 1547 where the DG shall detect the islanding for any possible
islanding condition and de-energized within 2 seconds for small voltage and frequency signal variation. This ensured
the safety of the utility workers and retained the quality of the power in the power system.
Stroke rehabilitation is a dynamic process with the overall aim of reducing stroke-related disability. The current
strategies in rehabilitation centers have limitations such as treatment frequency and intensity, cost and requirement of
mobility. Therefore, this project is aimed to propose a simple whole-new rehabilitation arm robot that can provide task-
specific training as well as achieve effective stroke rehabilitation. The design requirements for this project include that it
must be low cost, portable, robust and have a detailed focus on safety. The system has been implemented based on
common experience in rehabilitation and will provide a robot–patient interaction compensating for some intrinsic
limitations of traditional treatments. This project mainly focuses on devising a robotic arm specifically for rehabilitation
for minor stroke patients and will give notable significance especially in reducing the cost and providing effective
treatment.

Most of the Malaysian farmer does not record the conditions of the soil moisture, temperature and humidity for their
plants. Without knowing the best conditions for their plants can cause the plants to wilts away. Besides, it is very hard
for the farmer to maintain healthy plants every single day manually. Thus, by constructing the Arduino Based Smart
Agriculture System for Soil Moisture, Humidity and Temperature Project will able the farmer to monitor the conditions of
the plant frequently. This robot is controlled from the PCs by using a GPS module system. The robot will move from
one plant to another in the specific greenhouse area by using GPS coordinate entered on the system. The measured
data is sent to the PCs via WIFI-connection to determine the consuming of water needed for a specific measured plant
based on the plant condition. Based on the information given, the irrigation system is activated. The invention of this
prototype is to design and realize an automated soil moisture system, humidity and temperature so that it will able to
help the farmer monitoring their plants conditions frequently. Furthermore, with the design of an automated irrigation
system based on the feedback of the monitoring system would allow the farmer to manage the water consume by
optimizing the volume and timing of water distribution.

Nowadays, monitoring system is a device that is often used in our daily lives. There are various monitoring systems
available today. For example CCTV, system alerts for fireflies. The main purpose of this project is to monitor the
agricultural system in the chicken coop. This device can help the breeders monitor the temperature conditions in the
chicken coop and the ideal temperature can maintain for the chicken. Besides, this device also can monitor the food
and water supply for chickens. Food and water supply is also an important factor for this agricultural development but
breeders can not monitor food and beverage supplies within 24 hours. The output, all alert message sent through the
GSM module.

Today’s car wipers are manual systems that work on the principle of manual switching. It is still widely used in the older
car or in a lower variant of a newer car. This project proposed an automatic wiper system that automatically switches
ON detecting rain and stops when the rain stops. For this purpose, the project uses a rain sensor along with
microcontroller and driver IC to drive the wiper motor. The rain sensor works on the principle of using water for
completing its circuit, so when rain falls on its circuit gets completed and sends out a signal to the microcontroller. The
microcontroller now processes this data and drives the motor IC to perform the required action. The motor driver IC
now drives a motor to simulate as a car wiper. A wiper speed control system for an automotive wiper controls the
operational speed of a wiper in accordance with rain conditions. The control system includes a rain sensor detecting
rain conditions to produce an analog signal having an amplitude depending upon the detected rain conditions. The
analog sensor signal is converted into a digital pulse signal by a converter for application to a digital circuit system. The
aim of this system is to use a rain sensor to detect rain, this signal is then processed by the microcontroller to take the
desired action. This prototype is expected to benefit user with older cars or lower specification car by improving their
wiper system that gives high reliability but in low price range option.

A remote patient monitoring system is implemented for real time monitoring system at home. It consists of various
health parameters of a remotely based patient. Oxygen saturation and body temperature are the two parameters
calculated and transmitted via a server to a remote client. The main purpose of this paper is to present a remote Pulse
Oximetry System and transmit data via bluetooth for health monitoring purposes. The framework lays on the idea that
the vital health signs, can be collected from the patient and passed to a processer, where these signs will be
processed, compared and monitored in order to alert important personnel in the case of an emergency. The blood
oxygen saturation and heart rate are the biometric sign which is monitored by this device .The technique used in this
work is called “Photoplethysmography” which is based on the change in the intensity of light transmitted through the
tissue due to arterial blood pulse. This technique converts the intensity of light into a voltage signal which is used to
calculate the oxygen saturation of the patient. This is due to the fact that oxygenated blood has such characteristics in
absorbing the Red and Infrared wavelengths which differs from the deoxygenated blood. Comparison of the two
absorptions produces an estimation of the oxygen saturation in the patient’s blood.
Today, the energy crisis is one of the most concerning topics in discussion.Increasing demand on scarce natural
resources by mankind that is mainly used to give function to industries are diminishing. Given the situation that is
facing this project is moving towards diversified energy production. Hence, new technologies are being introduced to
satisfy user demands and curb global energy crisis. Apart from efforts to meet growing demand, automation in energy
distribution is also necessary to enhance individuals’ standard of living. This project is designed for a smart electrity
meter for monitoring the load with billing from application and computer, can check the consumptions of the current
load by ringgit from ur phone application or computer,This smart meter also will alert us when eletricity theft detected
and faulth identified. This smart electricity Meter project as stated, proffers solution to the deficiencies of the traditional
metering system with the implementation of the new technology readily available. Man is on the way to ultimately
derive the benefits in remote automation and control of the electrical system. With this design fully implemented the
cost associated with metering is reduced. Power theft at a minimum, proper documentation and even distribution of
power to consumers is found to be more effective. Therefore, it avoids human intervention, provides efficient meter
reading, avoids the billing error and reduces the maintenance cost.
