Introductory Session
London Ignition is your free program to support getting
your private hire licence. Your first step is to join us for an
Introductory Information Session to kickstart your next
steps.
Simplicity. We like to keep it simple and easy at Uber. Once
you’re ready to drive, you will start accepting trips by using the
Uber app. We are always here to help; contact our online
support team for 24/7 in-app support.

 English Language Qualifications
Requirement

To become a private hire driver licensed by TfL, you will TfL has confirmed that any of the below will meet the

It would be a good idea to check if you have one of UK HNC/HND qualification

Vehicle and Insurance
Using your own vehicle?
You can use your own vehicle to drive
provided it is on our accepted vehicle
list and is no more than 5 years old.
Your vehicle will undergo a vehicle
inspection and plating process for

TFL have introduced an English language requirement that needs to be met
by all applicants by 30th April 2019.

You need to pass the English Language Test with a TFL approved test
centre or provide documentary evidence of an existing qualification.
