START HERE - REQUEST TO JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP “FAQ LISA ZIMMER”
We created this system to get our time back. It has also made it easier for our team to duplicate
us. We believe it can do the same for you. You are going to find as you build your business many
people forget the most basic things - like how to redeem points, how to set up LRP, when they
get 30% etc. Instead of spending hours and hours re-educating and training those people, I can
now simply tag them in the FAQ.
It’s a great idea to make your welcome post in the FAQ, where you welcome the new members of
your team and explain to them the rules of your group.
It’s impossible to build an all-encompassing FAQ because there are so many questions that
arise. I suggest planning on this tool becoming an ever-changing document based on your own
team’s needs. If you find a topic is needed or discussed often in your team, create an FAQ post
for it! If you don’t like something I’ve said - fix it. Create your own videos when possible.
You will also find that some things in dōTERRA are confusing and need to be revisited often.
When people ask questions about these, simply tell them it is in the CUSTOMER FAQ; check it
out. I am not going to explain it again when it is easily accessible. I want to empower my people
to locate the information in this valuable resource and not have the resource be ME. That is not
duplicatable or efficient.
Feel free to edit any and all posts as you see fit for your team. There are blanks that require you
to fill them in so be sure and EDIT the FAQ posts before launching them. You are more than
welcome to add your business team to my facebook training group Lisa Zimmer Essential Oils
Biz Tips. We do general training weekly at no charge.

ADULTS- 20 drops of each essential oil in a 10ml rollerball topped off with MCT FCO
(Fractionated coconut oil). Recommended up to 50% Essential Oils in 10ml roller at
max. It's ok to start with less and add more later if necessary. See pages 11-13 of The
Essential Life Book for more information on diluting.
CHILDREN & BABIES- use the same # of drops as their age. So a baby roller would be
1-5 drops of each essential oil and top off with FCO. A 5 year old would use 5-10 drops of

SAFE OIL USE!
Ok, you all know we use essential oils 3 ways: Aromatically, Topically, and Internally.
But did you know that not ALL oils and oil blends can be used internally? Yep, it's true,
but lucky for us, we don't have to be oil experts to be safe because dōTERRA makes it
easy to determine how you can safely use a specific essential oil or oil blend.
1. It's on the bottle. It really is! If an oil or blend is safe for internal use, the bottle is
labeled in 2 ways so we know. It will be labeled "Essential Oil Supplement" and list
supplement facts; AND in the use instructions located at the bottom of the bottle label it
will list "for internal use". If the bottle says only "for aromatic and topical use," it is NOT
safe to use internally!
2. It's in the Product Guide. Pages 9 and 29 list all of dōTERRA essential oils and blends
AND how you can safely use each one.

take 1 of each for 2 days after breakfast or lunch. Then increase to 2 of each after
breakfast or lunch. Over time you can increase to the full dose of 4 of each a day per the
box instructions and split the dose up to 2 of each after breakfast or lunch and 2 of each
after supper. Take daily.

Adding this post about safety of Peppermint & Eucalyptus in Children because there are
many articles on line with information about non- dōTERRA oils being unsafe for
children. Correct - non dōTERRA oils can be unsafe because they are adulterated or
have different properties or were used undiluted and in massive illogical amounts such
as 5 ml in a single use.

doTERRA Eucalyptus single oil is Eucalyptus Radiata. BUT, the Eucalyptus that is in
OnGuard and Breathe Drops is Eucalyptus Globus, it is a different species. The Globus
variety is GRAS by the FDA. (Ingestible- the eucalyptus in Onguard is ingestible)

DōTERRA is different. It's just better.

**It has come to our attention that there are concerns with the ingredient

important to us and we would never use an ingredient that wasn’t thoroughly
researched and known to be safe.

Carrageenan is a natural fiber extracted from seaweed and is used as a thickening agent
in our vegetarian softgels. Seaweed and seaweed fiber are used safely and extensively
throughout the world and have well-established safety records supported by numerous
clinical studies. Carrageenan is GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) and is approved
for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the U.S., by the European
Parliament and Council, by the Joint World Health Organization, and by the Food and
Agriculture Organization Expert Committee on Food Additives.

dōTERRA only uses long chain carrageenan molecules—which have been shown to be
safe—in our products. Carrageenan is simply a type of fiber that is not digested or
absorbed by the intestinal tract. It is therefore unable to enter the blood stream by
ingestion.

EXPIRATION: Do essential oils expire? There are expiration dates on the bottom of
your bottles as required by the FDA because they are consumable products. Oils lose
efficacy over time but to make that last longer,

1. Keep them out of heat

2. Keep them out of direct sunlight

3. Keep the lids on- oxygen makes them evaporate

You will read all kinds of conflicting information on line. Follow the tips above, use your
oils regularly and use common sense and you'll be fine.

DIFFUSER CARE

I'm more of an "every couple months" diffuser cleaner, but your Diffusers will last
longer if you take better care of them!

Standard diffuser recipes run roughly

500 ml 15-20 drops total

300 ml 10-15 drops total

100 ml 3-6 drops

These will vary depending on the potency of your oils. For example Lemongrass and
Cassia are very strong smelling oils so you can use less. Start with the smaller number of
drops and add more if you prefer.

HOW TO ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO ENROLL WITH DOTERRA.

When helping friends and family, we get excited and want to tell them everything we've
learned about oils and then the next thing you know...we've completely overwhelmed
them.
Keep it simple. Tell them that you love them, they make you feel great and that they can
get an account and get started, too!
Tell them to get one of the kits on the Trifold Brochure in the files tab (you can send it to
them). This way there is no starter fee.
I explain it as "get the small bottle kit for $150 or the large bottle kit for $275 or if you
are ready for the BEST kits - the bigger you go, the better the savings, get one of the
bigger kits listed in the website. You can't go wrong. Just pick a starter kit.
