Introduction to Chakras

Foreword
Today people are waking up to the fact that their physical, mental and spiritual health is deeply connected. Our body comprises of seven
Sahasrara
chakras, and these chakras determine our overall wellbeing. It is proper functioning of all the chakras that ensures appropriate energy flow to all Chakra (The Crown Chakra)
body parts including our vital organs. Thus chakra cleansing and balancing is needed to enjoy good health and happiness which translates to
overall abundance in all spheres of life.

Brief Description of Chakras and Their Role

As Aura permeates our physical body it creates swirling vortexes of energy at specific places which are our endocrine glands. These vortexes
of energy look like spinning wheels and hence the name ‘Chakras’. Ajna (The
Brow Chakra)
There are seven major Chakras, each of which controls specific organs in the body and are in turn governed by expressions, feelings and
senses, including the sixth sense.

As we go through different experiences and challenges that life poses to us in our path to realisation of perfection, our thoughts, attitudes and
reactions which tend towards fears or negativity, block our chakras. These negative emotion(s), faulty beliefs or rigid, dogmatic spiritual
perceptions have to be released in order to open the chakras. Vishuddha
Chakra (The Throat Chakra)
Once chakras get blocked, the free flow of energy to the chakras gets inhibited and you develop emotional disorder and physical ailment
related to the chakras. By working with your Chakras, you can clear away the stagnant negative energy/ belief that does not serve your highest
purpose. This broadens your perspective which will assist you in making the changes necessary for better health, harmonious relationships and
personal and financial wellbeing.

Anahata
Chakra (The Heart Chakra)

Manipura
Chakra (The Navel Chakra)

Swadhisthana Chakra (The

Sacral Chakra)

Muladhara
Chakra (The Root Chakra)

Every major chakra has a link to the seven endocrine glands of the physical body. Endocrine glands are glands that secrete their hormones directly into the blood stream. Each
chakra is also ruled by a specific planet and specific deities. The planets seen in Astrology charts are planets in the chakras. The table below gives the relation.

Chakra Endocrine Gland Colour

Muladhara (Root) The Adrenal Medulla (above the Kidneys) Red

Swathisthana (Sacral) The Sexual Organs (Testes and Ovaries) Orange

Manipura (Solar Plexus) The Pancreas Yellow

Anahata (Heart) The Thymus Green

Vishuddha (Throat) The Thyroid Gland Blue

Ajna (Third eye) The Hypothalamus Indigo

Sahasrara (Crown) The Pituitary Gland Violet

All the endocrine glands, with their hormones, work together to keep the body in perfect health.Hormones have many effects on many organs, tissues and bodily functions.
Endocrine glands bring to life many spiritual qualities like will power, persistence, exertion, but they can also cause apathy, indifference, or laziness when hormone production is
interrupted. Endocrine glands are also transformers of cosmic powers into the vital energy necessary for the physical body.

Since the human body is susceptible to external atmospheric changes, diseases of different types find it eay to enter the body. When the Chakras are unbalanced, it’s even
