Lupus: Deadly Disease

Lupus is one of the least recognized diseases in the world. Lupus is a serious autoimmune

disease. The immune system is supposed to protect the body, when a person has lupus their body

becomes hyperactive, and starts to form antibodies which attack healthy tissues and organs.

Their body starts to attack its own body and organs which is not good for the human body. It is

very difficult to diagnose lupus, because the symptoms come and go. The symptoms for lupus

tend to mimic many other illnesses, so it is very hard to tell whether or not if that particular has

lupus.

There are two awareness organizations that want to raise awareness of lupus. These two

organizations are called the SLE (Lupus) Foundation and the East Harlem Cooperative main

mission is to find a way to defeat the lupus disease. They are trying to find ways on how to treat

this deadly disease. These two organizations have a community partnership to existing medical

and service providers so that they can form a functioning cooperative organization. This

functioning cooperative organization gives screening, diagnosis, and treatment for women at risk

lupus. They also provide financial support service needed by chronically ill patients and their

families. Both care organizations discourage consumers from getting specialized care for lupus.

It is believed that making people aware is not enough to deal with the problem, but the additional

need to do something with people who come forward is imperative.

There are three types of lupus: discoid, systemic, and drug induced. Discoid lupus is

when the disease is just limited to the skin. It is when the ill patient gets a rash that may appear

rash. About 10 percent of discoid cases evolve into the systemic form of the lupus disease. The

The drugs that are the most commonly connected with drug-induced lupus are hydralazine are

hydralazine (used to treat high blood pressure and hypertension) and procainamide (used to treat

irregular heart rhythms). Everybody that takes these drugs will not develop this form of lupus

only 4 percent of patients start to develop suggestive antibodies and symptoms. Once patient

stops taking these drugs the symptoms usually tend to fade away.

The information that I found in this article it will help further answer my fat question. It

will help answer my fat question, because it explains what lupus does to the human body. The

use to cope with lupus. In my research paper I can also describe the types of methods that

help me to have a well-rounded paper, because I will hit all the key points that I will need to get

you get lupus, your body is basically fighting against itself. It also talks about how there are

around 1.5 million Americans that have some form of lupus, and it is estimated about 16,000

newly diagnosed each year. This articles also explains the causes of lupus which remains mainly

unknown. It is still up for debate if lupus is one disease or it is a combination of several similar

diseases. Some of the causes of lupus might be genetics, environmental triggers, or a reaction

to drugs. There can be many causes of lupus, that it is why it is so hard to find out where it

came from, because doctors cannot always be 100% sure. Lupus has a huge range of symptoms,
