5. Press AGLink40_Config button to open a dialog where you can configure connection to a device and set corresponding
parameters according to the selected type of connection.

PG-Address = profibus card address (a number range from 0 to “Highest node address”)
Timeout = time limit for the connection with a device (the value can be increased if any communication problems
arise, e.g. in case of a longer response time)
Transmission rate = transmission speed used in the network
Highest node address = the highest address which can be used in the network (the same value must be set for all
participants)
Profile = setting of communication using MPI protocol
Connection type = type of used connection

7. The Test button on Test tab enables testing of connection to the device.

8. Press OK to finish configuration of connection to the device.

9. Define the name and the location of the .CSV file on File configuration tab in EasyLog configuration.

10. Define variables (with addresses according to S7 symbolism) in Variable configuration tab. In our case we added the
following variables into the table: DB1.DBW0 and DB1.DBW2.
