FPA Athletes Win Ranks at City Meet

Several students from Foundation Preparatory Academy garnered places at the

recently concluded Athletic Meet for the Dumaguete City Division last
November 7 to 10.

The secondary boys football team won emerged as the champion. Meanwhile,
the secondary boys team bagged gold while the secondary girls team also won
second place.

As with Archery, Lindyle Roy Gabucan, a junior high school student, qualified
for the regional games. Meanwhile for Chess, the secondary boys’ team won
third place.

For the badminton events, secondary boys doubles team won first place
meanwhile the girls team won silver and bronze medals.

In Arnis, the boys team won 8 golds, 4 silvers and 2 bronze medals and thus,
made them qualify for the regionals. The girls team also garnered 1 gold, 12
silvers and 6 bronze medals.

Lastly, the secondary boys volleyball team emerged as the champion while the
girls team won silver.

Foundation University aims not only to compete through sports but to develop
athletes and students who are disciplined and passionate about the promotion
of sports in the community.
