4. Program Educational Objectives In three to five years after graduation, the Doctor in Information Technology
alumni shall:
PEO 1. have advanced their career as top-level managers (executives) or
leaders in the area of information technology for the advancement of society;
PEO 2. continuously promote professionalism in the area of information
technology; and
PEO 3. have demonstrated global competitiveness by building on best
practices in their field.
5. Program Outcomes By the time of graduation, the program must enable the students to attain:
(a) An ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of scientific and scholarly
research methods and their application in the area of computing and their
specialization;
(b) An ability to critique and evaluate scientific research papers in their area of
computing and their specialization;
(c) An ability to design and conduct research in their area of their
specialization;
(d) An ability to communicate the results of their research in a clear and
effective manner;
(e) An ability to understand and demonstrate concern for the high ethical
standards in computing research, teaching, and related areas;
(f) An ability to solve computing related complex problems through integrating
computing principles, theories, insights, and practical knowledge; and
(g) An ability to work effectively with other people from various cultural,
educational, and work experience backgrounds.
