On Monday the 29th of October 2018, I taught an English lesson about letter P. My
Mentoring School Teacher (MST) Ms. Aisha told me her feedback, and her feedback
is that I must show them first how we write the letter then I show them the video (how
to write the letter in the air by their hands). In this lesson, I did not notice that I was
shouting because the last lesson my voice was very low so, I change it in this lesson,
but it also does not work neither the normal and the shouting. That days the MST was
absent because her son is in the hospital, Ms. Aisha said that is my time to implement
my techniques or new techniques to see the techniques that work with my students.
Ms. Aisha said that I must use the transition language, so the students will know what
we will doing next. One of the good thing that I did in my lesson that my instructions
in explaining the activities were very clear. However, I have to ask more questions in
the circle time about the flash cards. To have a good lesson, I have to write everything
such as, what I will ask? What I will do? In the lesson, so my lesson will move
smoothly, as Ms. Aisha said. Her advised was if I observe someone else teaching the
students, I should write down the technique that I felt good and it will work on my
students.
