OBJECTIVES: Main Lesson Aims (Concepts, Procedures, & Processes): By the
end of the Lesson the Student will be able to:
- Learn how living things interact in their environment through a food web or food
chain.

Teacher book Integrated science chapter 4 lesson 1 on food chains and
food (review pages 136-155)
Student book (s) Integrated science chapter 4 lesson 1 on food chains and
food (review pages 136-155)
Worksheets/ papers Give each group A3 paper to compare the living things and
nonliving thing and stick the picture on the right side.
Teacher materials Pin, computer, smartboard.
Student materials Pensile, worksheet, glue, bowl of water, plastic animals.
Technology Video about ecosystem

desert etc..

Some students will get confused of living things and nonliving things.

Teacher will solve and model an example with students before they do it themselves.
Lesson Schedule (DETAIL)
Targeted teacher language (What will the teacher say throughout the lesson?):
- I will explain the lesson for the pupils by showing a video about Ecosystem.
Then, I will tell them to do the comparing activity as a group work it include
“compare living things and nonliving things”. After that we will check the
answers as a whole class. Then I will complete the lesson for the pupils, while
the teacher is explaining I will gives them examples of ecosystem and also I
will translate to Arabic.

- The students will speak in English and use science target words.

Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): Time:

- T. Good morning students.


- T. play a video about the ecosystem.
- T. ask the pupils if they know what the ecosystem mean.

procedures):
High and mid-level student:
Today we are going to learn about the ecosystem and we will
know what the living things in the ecosystem and nonliving
things.
Teacher will ask student:
- Who knows what means ecosystem?

I will explain the main points of the lesson for the student
which is about ecosystems by showing them a video:
- What is an ecosystem?
- What is the ecosystem are made?
- T. Give a dojo points for who is on the task.
Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or 10 min
assessment):
Bring a bowl of water and plastic fish. Let the pupils to do
their own ecosystem.
Bring a sand and a plastic animal and asks the students to
make their own ecosystem.
