NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Commonwealth Games officials said Sunday a volunteer had been reported for ticket
fraud and that they were still fixing the ticket system, halfway through an event where availability of tickets has
been a major problem.

Indian media have reported bundles of valid Games tickets found in trash bins and the sale of complimentary
passes, while fans have been turned away from officially sold-out venues that have hosted events before half-
empty stands.

After taking note of incidents of age fraud committed by some athletes, specific guidelines have been drafted
and issued to National Sports Federations (NSFs) to take appropriate measures to check age fraud on the same
lines of anti-doping measures, the ministry said in a release.

“In this country, payments are made without work being done. Newly constructed foot over-bridge (near
Jawaharlal Nehru stadium) collapsed like a pack of cards. Rs 70,000 crore is involved in organising the Games,”
a bench of Justices G A Singhvi and A K Ganguly observed
