1. To review the concepts of what an adjective, an adverb and a noun is.
2. To review the positions of an adjective in the sentence.
3. To review the position of an adverb in the sentence.
4. To practice oral activities using adjectives and adverbs.
5. To describe people, animals and objects around.

Warm-Up:
The students make a brief description of what we did
on the first session, what they want to learn in 10 min.

assignment they had to do.

Presentation:
The teacher shows the students a Power Point
presentation to verify the information they know
about the topic for the session. Every student will 20 min. Power Point Presentation
have the opportunity to see and take notes according
to the slides shown by the teacher and they will also
answer the questions the teacher asks.
Practice:
The students have to solve the four (4) exercises
given by the teacher in written and oral way. The Power Point Presentation
teacher establishes who goes after who to verify all

7. To know how to use the Past Perfect tense in affirmative, negative and question forms.
8. To combine the Past Perfect with Past Simple and other Past Perfect sentences using the
prepositions “before and after”.

Past Participle verb forms.
Use of the auxiliary verb had and its negative form

Contracted affirmative form of had: ´d.
Contracted negative form of had + not: hadn´t.
Yes/No question structure: Had + subject…?
Presentation:
The teacher asks the students about what they know
about the Past Perfect tense in English. After that, he
shows the students a slide presenting the definition
and some of the uses of this tense in English. He
concentrates on how to make sentences to transmit
certain ideas to the listeners or readers. It is very
important to let the students know that this tense
gets more complicated as it is used in many ways but Power Point Presentation
in grammar structures.

Through some images, the teacher tells the class
basic information to take in mind when using this
tense and by using oral interactions he also asks the
students to form, to develop and to speak about some
situations shown in the slides as practice for the
session.
As well as the previous sessions, we will interact by
using the skills of speaking, writing, listening and
reading taking advantage of the class itself and
everybody´s effort during practice time.
Practice:
The students develop four (4) exercises applying
knowledge about the Past Perfect tense. As usual, the
students write the exercises then they have to read
the exercise to the teacher and the group to evidence Power Point Presentation
how well grammar and pronunciation are used and 20 min.
correct possible errors in the development of these List of verbs
exercises.
The teacher will also give every student a choice (a
verb) to practice personal questions based on today´s
topic.
