I have chosen this location for my production as it is the most established middle class styled home that I
have found. I think that it is appropriate for the brothers to live in and it has a young boys room which is
perfect for one of the scenes. Overall this is the best location due to it matching the type of houses that I
have researched.

Location research
When looking into locations for my production, I took into consideration that I needed a house that looks
middle classed and suitable for two brothers to live in. I want the setting to be quite modern and suitable
for the young audience to relate to. I want this house to be homely and place that a child can see as warm
and happy.

Actor Auditions
These are the two actors who I had in mind for my idea. I think
that they look alike which helps show that they are siblings and
they both are appropriate for the roles. I planned my idea around
these two actors because I know that they can both act well and I
can rely on them to be in my productions. Jack has been in my
productions before and he is good at playing a serious role. This
will be a change for him as this production is for children and
involves comedy, but his character is still serious compared to
Marcus’ character. I think that these roles suit the actors because
they both have loud personalities which means that they can
incorporate these into the slapstick theme in the TV Program.
Louis
I chose to audition Louis for the role, as he is also young and could
be a potential Dax. He has blonde hair and matches the look of the
character that I had in mind. He is 8 years old and he is very active
and the target market could relate to him quite well. His actions
and gestures are very exaggerated which makes him a good
candidate for acting in a slapstick comedy piece. One reservation
that I have is that he is quite young to help me film a production
and his attention span is short. This could be an issue when filming
so I need to take this into consideration when casting my final
actors.
Fin
I chose to audition Fin for the role of Bronx because his personality suits
the character profile well and I think he would be able to behave like my
character would. He is suitable because he is cheerful and funny and this
is definitely character traits that appeal to children and they find
entertaining. Fin has had some acting experience because he attended
drama school so I know that he understands how to act. One of my
worries is that he doesn’t look like the other actors that I have cast to
play Dax and therefore, the young audience would struggle to
understand that the characters are brothers. I think that this is quite
important because children do pick up on small factors such as this.
