Lesson Products Student teacher Fatema Altenaiji

MST Courtney Mcmanman School Rak Academy – PYP

Class Grade 2 Date 25/October/2018

Overall aim and context of the lesson: -implement a consistent lesson where the students build their
knowledge through guided investigation about concept

-Use higher order thinking, process skills, hands on, and problem-solving strategy for lesson to discuss about
some different products and use their thinking to solve the jigsaw products puzzle

Select (S):
The lesson is the introduction to products establishes what are products? and how students will figure out the jigsaw of
products picture and use higher order thinking, process in I see, I think, I wonder strategy to explain the picture

Describe (D):
The lesson is for grade 2 students in the science class. the topic of lesson is very interesting for me to teach as it relates to
the life products which is real life objects that can be shown to the students in the science class. in this lesson I am trying
to achieve my setting goals by displaying different kinds of products (vegetable, coke, clothes, toys) and ask students some
questions about it as a warm up to the lesson. also, I am providing a jigsaw products puzzle for a higher order thinking
using " I see, I think, I wonder" which could improve students process skills through the activity. the student's job is to
think, and discuss their ideas and thinking of the product to the teacher students in the group

Analyze (A):
In my opinion Students in the engaging activity when the teacher is displaying products and asking question about it were
actively engaged and interesting with the topic because there were shown a real-world objects (products) which relate to
their real life which motivate them more in topic. "one of the most important advantages of using authentic materials is
that it increases learners' motivation and reflects positively on the learning process. In other words, students learn the
language better when we as teachers use authentic materials as a teaching aid" (Hyland, 2003).

Appraise (A):
From the student's perspective in my activities for this lesson I think that I am satisfied with achieving my goals for this
lesson, in addition students were actively engaged, motivated, and interested In the lesson because it was well planned

Transform (T):
I might enhance students learning of this lesson in the future through using another method which KWL to identify what
could the students want to know about the product, so I can cover it while we were discussing about the product
