Entry requirements
Degree of Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical
engineering. Additionally the Bachelor of Science degree must be comprised of a minimum of
12 HE credits in mathematics. Verified knowledge of English corresponding to the course
English B/English 6 in the Swedish Upper Secondary School (high school) or equivalent.
Other regulations
Admission requirements:
For the course ATM700 Automation Systems, 6 HE credits requires the course RBK600 Robot
certificate, 1.5 HE credits or simmilar.
For the course RBS720 Robotic Systems II, 6 HE credits requires the courses VTM605
Scientific methods in robotics and automation, 3 HE credits and RBK600 Robot certificate, 1.5
HE credits or simmilar.
EXM810 Degree Work, 15 HE credits requires the courses RBS710 Robotic Systems II, 6 HE
credits and RBK600 Robot certificate, 1.5 HE credits or simmilar.
A student who has been admitted to a programme with this programme syllabus is
guaranteed a place on courses according to the study plan above, provided that the student
follows the programme according to the study plan. The study plan and its courses may
however be subject to change, within the framework of the qualitative targets, when
revisions of education plans and syllabi are being made. Should the programme involve
choosing a specialization, the student is guaranteed a place on courses concerning the chosen
specialization.

Qualification objectives and criteria
Degree and qualification criteria for the degree of the education is stated by current national
and local degree documents. For the program Robotics, MA, 60 credits, except for the national
exam objectives the following learning outcomes are valid.
Knowledge and understanding
For a Master of Science (60 credits) degree the student shall:
Local qualitative target
• demonstrate knowledge and understanding within the main area of the education,
robotics, focusing on technologies for simulation and development of robotic
systems in terms of research and industrial applications, and
• be able to explain the possibilities and limitations, in the main field robotics,
research, and current industry practice
• show knowledge of research questions and literature in the field of robotics.
Compentece and skills
For a Master of Science (60 credits) degree the student shall:
Local qualitative target
• demonstrate the ability to independently, using appropriate methods for the field,
both academic and industrial, implement complex industrial robot-related projects /
tasks, and
• demonstrate the ability to work independently with relevant methods and
mathematical concepts for applications in robotics.
Judgement and approach
For a Master of Science (60 credits) degree the student shall:
Local qualitative target
• demonstrate the ability to discuss robotic technology capabilities and limitations, its
role in industry and public accountability for how it is used.
Qualification criteria
Completed course requirements of 60 credits, in accordance with the syllabus for the
program, Robotics, Master, 60 points.
For students who completed a program according to the plan a reference to the program will
be written on the qualification first.
