Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Gorana Curgus and I am the Principal harpist at the National Theatre in

MOTO was founded in September 2015. This is a non-profit non-governmental organization,
established for an indefinite period of time to achieve the objectives in the areas of culture,
education and art publications.
Our goal is to promote classical music, opera and theatre and to make it accessible to wider
audience. Our mission is to strengthen culture values and build tolerant society through
activism and work of Serbian eminent artists, promotion and support of emerging artist, as
well as inclusion of people with disabilities and marginalized population. All members of
MOTO are renowned artists from the fields of classical music, opera, theatre and art. You
can also have a glimpse at our website www.moto.org.rs.
We are currently preparing proposal to EEA/Norway Grants - Fund for regional cooperation.
The scope of this project is to reestablish regional (ex- Yugoslav) network of artists, art
institutions and associations, mainly through summer schools and master classes for
students within the classical music tradition, and joint artistic productions promoting
common cultural space and heritage.
Partners on this project are:

Summer Academy in Voksenåsen is an example of successful regional cooperation and

outstanding professional achievement, and we would be highly honored to learn from Your
experience. Within the call for proposal there is also a position of Expertise partner to support
the projects by way of sharing expertise, experience, know-how and contribute to capacity building. We
would like to ask You to consider taking part in this project as our Expertise partner.
Due to Guide for project proposal:
"Target groups or other stakeholders in the countries of the expertise partners cannot benefit directly
from the Fund. However, expertise partners may expect to benefit from project involvement through
professional cooperation, promoting extended and strengthened European networking and the mutual
development and exchange of information and good practice."

Thank You for Your time

I hope You will find this initiative appealing.
Yours sincerely
Gorana Curgus and MOTO team

Artists are now facing a global crisis, especially tzv.visoke art. A quick way of life,
digitalization, globalization .. all this has affected the reduction of the audience interested in
classical music. Networking of people, ideas and the sector is imperative for the
sustainability of this branch of art. Countries of the former Yugoslavia had a diversified and
successful network of institutions and artistic production, which logically resulted from a
close cultural identity and heritage. Part of the distinctive identities were both musical camps
(summer school) for students and young professionals. Currently in our countries there is
nothing like that. We are faced with the departure of young talent in the country to have
more understanding of the importance of the cultural scene. Opportunities for sharing and
business are small and local.
This project is aimed at establishing a number of regional camps and courses, with the close
cooperation of all professionals involved partners, as well as joint production and promotion
of artistic content. In the years when talking about the importance of a common European
space, land ex-ROM area have to offer a rich musical heritage, as well as a large number of
professional artists and talented young people. One idea is the creation of a sort of regional
databases (like musical chairs, for example) artists, courses, employment, stock market
instruments

We are also organizing summer school, but for young opera singers, répétiteurs and
conductors.
For any information or question please do not hesitate to contact us. Hope that you will find
this initiative appealing.

Yours sincerely,
Gorana Curgus and MOTO team
