Statement of Purpose

I, Hassan Masood would like to contest for the position of ‘Executive Council’ of the IBA Leadership Club.
I’ve been associated with and worked for this society throughout my freshmen year at IBA. I was the
Brand Ambassador for the IBA Leadership Club and an integral part of the IBA International Leadershop
Conference 2016. Furthermore I had also participated in the ILC Launch. During my freshmen year, I had
worked for various societies and events but ILC has always been close to my heart and I would like to
continue working for this Club. The ILC provides a platform to grow and develop as a professional leader
and that is one of the things I would want to gain during my time at IBA.

The essence of the IBA Leadership Club lies in its IBA International Leadershop Conference. Since 2008,
the conference has been held every year and has maintained a reputation for being one of the largest
and most successful events at IBA over the years. I plan on continuing to work to maintain the prestige
of the Leadership Club. I personally believe that the conference needs to bring in participants from
different areas of Pakistan (and different counties as well if possible) to ensure diversity and
representation of different cultures in the conference. For example participants from Gilgit and those
from Hyderabad will have a completely different experience and will bring in unique substance during
the conference. Also along with interactive guest speaker sessions, I would introduce comprehensive
team building and leadership enhancing activities to make sure the participants get a unique learning
experience and they have a memorable time at the conference. At the same time, it is very important
that there is a proper communication channel between the members of the panel and the patron to
ensure smooth running of the club. I, in my capacity, will try my best to bring in positive changes in the
conference to make it reach new heights which will not only be constructive for the reputation of the
Leadership Club but also IBA.
