Service to mankind is Service to God. Seva Bharathi galvanizes people for the cause of the unfortunate
and channelizing their effort into an organized movement to combat pain, inequality and illiteracy.

Sevabharathi was established in 1984 and has its presence in the entire country with more than 170,700
charitable and community development activities. The Telangana unit was registered in the year 1990 and
has launched several projects to improve the living standards of the poor, especially the under-privileged,
slum dwellers and inhabitants of rural.

Activities spread across the Telangana State:

1) Schools :

Educating the destitute boys and girls, particularly those belonging to the SC and ST and other
down trodden groups is a major focus area. Seva Bharathi has started schools in slum areas and
in remote villages in Telangana for the benefit of the poor. Some of the schools are,

 Sri Madhava Vidyalayam, Balaji Nagar, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad

 Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalayam Machu Pahad, Narmetta Mandal, Warangal Dist.

 Sri Veda Vyasa Public School, Madikonda, Warangal Dist.

 Sri Keshava Sishu Mandir, Kandhakurthi, Renjal Mandal, NIzamabad Dist.

 Sri Kesava Sishu Mandir, Kollampally, Narayanpet, Mahaboobnagar Dist.


2) Orphanages:

Sevabharathi runs orphanages and affection homes in Telangana for the care of destitute boys
and girls. The idea is to help them shape into independent, socially aware and educated individu-
als. These centres have care takers who bestow children with motherly care. Some of the orphan-
ages and affection homes run by Sevabharathi in Telangana are,

 Vaidehi Ashramam, Saidabad, Hyderabad (Home for Destitute Girls)

 Sandeepani Awasam, Mahaboobnagar (Child Labor Rehabilitation Centre)

 Vatsalyasindhu, Moulali, Hyderabad (Home for Destitute Boyes)

 Sri Vivekananda Awasam, Bhainsa,Adilabad (Home for Destitute Boys)

 Sri Valmiki Awasam, Jagityal, Karimnagar Dist.( Rural SC Boys)

 Sri Ekalavya Ashramam, Mancherial, Adilabad Dist. (Tribal Boys)

 Sri Vyasa Awasam, Hunter Road, Warangal, (Tribal Boys)

 Vanavasi Vikas Kendram, Burgampad, Khammam Dist. (Tribal Boys)

 Nachiketha Awasam, Kisannagar, Nizamabad Dist.(Poor and under privileged Boys )

 Sri Madhava Awasam, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda Dist.( Poor and under privileged Boys)

 Sri Vivekananda Awasam , Kodada, Nalgonda (Poor and under privileged Boys)

3) Medical Aid: Sevabharathi Telangana has a wide network of Medical aid program starting from Mobile
Medical Van that visits slums in & around hyderabad to Medical aid centres through free clinics and Equip-
ment Banks to support infrastructure in Govt hospitals. The network of Volunteers & Medical volunteers,
the Doctors supports the Medical aid programmes.

The vital part of the medical aid is the Drug banks which provide free medicines to the urban & rural poor.
Sevabharathi organises free Medical Camps as & when the need arises in slums & rural interiors.
The Help Desks is a feature that is widely utilised & appreciated in Govt Hospitals as the hospital infra-
structure is huge & often confusing for the patients & their attendants. Sevabharathi runs a Shelter Home
in Gandhi hospital that feeds on an average 750 poor per day and provides night shelter to 250 people
per day.

Apart from these activities the Blood Donors registry & support network is a concerted effort to provide
some relief for patients in need.

SEVABHARATHI ACTIVITIES IN WARANGAL: The Warangal unit was started in 2008 and is involved in the
following activities.

1) Sri Vidyaranya Awasam: An affection home for the college going students was established in 2012
at Vyasapuri Colony, Madikonda. The students come here after completing their 10th from various
schools run by Seva Bharathi in the state. They are given shelter and food in this Awasam and they
continue their further education (Inter, Graduation, PG etc.,) here. So far 80 students have suc-
cessfully completed their college education and another 30 are being given education at present
in the centre.

Progress & Achievements of our students:

 A boy has secured employment in B.S.F (Border Security Force) and is working in it.

 Two students are pursuing Post Graduation

 Four Students have completed their Graduation and are preparing for TS group services

 Six students are pursuing their B.Tech.

 Thirty Two students are pursuing their graduation.

 Two students are pursuing Hotel Management course.

 A student is looking after Awasam.

2) School: Seva Bharathi is running a English Medium School under the name SRI VEDAVYASA PUB-
LIC SCHOOL, Opposite Mettugutta Entrance Gate, Vyasapuri, Nehru Nagar, Madikonda. The
School (Nursery to Class VII) caters to the poor and downtrodden students of Madikonda and near
by villages by charging a minimum fee. The students are exposed to excellent atmosphere with
good playground, in-door and out-door games etc.,
3) Vocational Training: With the collaboration of M/s Godrej Industries Seva Bharathi is imparting
technical training under the name KOUSHALAM (Skill Development Centre) to unemployed
youth on Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Micro-wave Ovens, Geysers and
other house hold electric gadgets for a period of three months. Training certificates are issued by
M/s Godrej Company. So far about 125 youth are trained and have secured employment in IFB,
Godrej, & other companies, while some are self employed.

4) Computer Training: Students of eighth and ninth classes from Government Schools in the vicinity
of Madikonda, Dharmasagar etc., are being given free training on computers. Till date more than
600 boys and girls are trained from 9 government schools.

5) Women Empowerment: Women from neighbouring localities are trained in tailoring, embroi-
dery, beautician courses which will help them to get self employment.

6) Vyasa Awasam : An Affection home for the tribal students of the district started in 2007. The home
caters to the 8 tribal mandals and students of 5th class are selected from rural interior tribal ham-
lets to be educated until their 10th class. The home nurtures the children to their full potential
and encourages them to grow in to self reliant individuals with a sense of responsibility to the
society. Till date 6 batches of students have passed out in flying colours and are pursuing higher
education.

We the local organizing committee of SEVA BHARATHI appeal to all philanthropists and other socially
aware members of the society to contribute generously for the aforementioned noble activities which will
go a long way in not only upbringing but also empowering these needy sections of our society.

Operational Expenses:

 Expenditure for the maintenance of Awasam for one month -Rs.1,20,000/-

 Expenditure for Only Food for one month - Rs.60,000/-

 Expenditure for One Student for one year - Rs.15,000/-

 Expenditure for Education & Training (Kaushalam) for one student -Rs. 8,000/-

For one year


 Expenditure for imparting education for one student/year - Rs.7,500/-

 Expenses for maintaining the Awasam for one day - Rs.4,000/-

 Corpus Fund - Rs.1,50,000/-

(Interest Accrued from this fund meets one student total expenditure for one year)

Donations on the occasions of Birthdays, Marriage Anniversary Days, In the memory of departed
elders to the Heavenly abode are accepted with Gratitude.

 All donations made to Seva Bharathi are exempted from Income Tax under 80 G.

Cheques or D.D’ s can be issued in favour of “Seva Bharathi”.
