institutions.

sociology, which is confronted with the
problems of relationship between society
and education.

planners and developers today. Curriculum
decision takes place in a complex social setting
through demands that are imposed by society
that filter down to schools.

Cultural and social changes and expectations
can affect the implementation of the
curriculum. However, this includes major
changes to society such as unemployment
patterns, social values, economic growth and
family relationships, parental, employer and
community expectations of schools. This is also
affected by the educational system
requirements and challenges.
