OF BEARING INSTALLATION

Friction Pendulum Bearing

STEP 1:-

Prepare block out / recess holes using template / PVC pipes and cast the bottom plinth according to
the required height and size by contractors.

STEP 2:-

Place the Bearing on the bottom plinth. Use shim plates to ensure bearing reaches the required height.
Place the hydraulic cylinder / temporary supports at specified or designated location (by others).

STEP 3:-

Launch the steel bridge above the Bearing (by others).

STEP 4:-

Tighten the bolts at the top attachment plate to required torque value.

STEP 5:-

Prepare formwork for grouting. Using approved grout material, grout the bottom anchor plate using
manual pouring method.

STEP 6:-

Remove the hydraulic cylinder / temporary support after the grout has achieved the required strength.
