About this device
Thank you for purchasing an Outdoor LTE Modem. The
Outdoor LTE Modem has a waterproof design (IP65)
that is suitable for outdoor installation. It enables you
to access high speed LTE networks from devices
connected to the modem via a LAN cable. The outdoor
unit has a built-in antenna that can consistently
receive fast LTE signals (3GPP Release 8). It also uses
embedded passive PoE (Power over Ethernet) to
provide a stable power supply and data link in one
cable.

Outdoor LTE Modem Ethernet port: Connect RJ45 LAN cable

Mounting bracket Rear mounting holes: Install the bracket on the
wall or on the pole through rear mounting holes.
Strap holes: Install the bracket on the wall
through pole mounting holes.
Vertical swivel: Use a 6 mm hex wrench to
adjust the outdoor unit’s vertical angle.
Horizontal swivel: Use a 6 mm hex wrench to
adjust the outdoor unit’s horizontal angle.
Front mounting holes: Attach the bracket to the
outdoor unit though front mounting holes.

Starting the Outdoor LTE Inserting a SIM card
Modem 1. Loosen the captive screw on the SIM compartment
cover using a Torx 10 driver.
To start your Outdoor LTE Modem, connect the
outdoor unit to the PoE adaptor with an Ethernet cable
and then connect the PoE adaptor to your device, such
as a computer or router, with a LAN cable. Then, supply
power to the modem by plugging the PoE adaptor in to
an electric socket.

2. Use a flat-head screwdriver to lift the cover. Then,
grip the edge of the cover to remove it.
3. Insert the SIM card with the IC contacts facing
upwards into the SIM card slot until you hear it click.
• To remove the SIM card, push the card gently
inward until it disengages and then pull it out of the
slot.

Connecting the Outdoor 3. Strip and prepare the end of the cable and then
terminate the RJ45 cable connector.
LTE Modem
1. Loosen the external gland nut by turning it
counterclockwise.

2. Insert the Ethernet cable through the gland.

4. Insert the RJ45 cable connector into the Ethernet
port.
5. Tighten the external gland nut by turning it
clockwise.
Ensure the gland is tightly closed. A loose gland
may allow water to enter and cause the
outdoor unit to malfunction.

6. Replace and firmly close the SIM compartment
cover.
7. Insert and tighten the screw by turning it clockwise
using a Torx 10 driver.
Take care not to damage the inner rubber seal
on the SIM compartment cover and ensure the
cover is tightly closed. A loose cover may allow
water to enter and cause the outdoor unit to
malfunction.

8. Insert the Ethernet cable connector into the 10. Insert the other end of the LAN cable into a LAN

Managing your device
settings
You can use your computer’s web browser to configure
the LAN and the Outdoor LTE Modem.
1. Open the web browser.
2. Type http://192.168.225.1 in the address bar.
3. Type ‘administrator’ in both the Username and
Password field and select Login.

4. Review and adjust the settings of each tab shown in
the screenshot below.
• CONNECTION: Set the DNS address.
• STATUS: View LTE connection status, LAN/WAN
information, device details, and system
performance.
• SETTING: Configure settings for LTE, network,
DHCP server, port forwarding, firewall, user
management details, and firmware upgrades.
• HELP: Enable or disable log configuration, or
download a PDF user guide.
• LOGOUT: Exit LAN configuration.
Checking LTE status
Tap STATUS and select LTE Status. The screen
shown below will appear displaying information about
the LTE connection and network traffic.
Configuring multiple
APNs
An APN is a gateway between a computer network and
a mobile network to access a public network. It
identifies IP Packet Data Networks (PDN) and can be
used to define PDN services. Tap SETTING and select
LTE Status, and the following screen will appear.
1. Type the APN name in the field next to APN Name.
2. Click on Apply to save the APN details.
3. Click on Update to view the current status of APNs.

• Always keep your Outdoor LTE Modem at room
temperature.
• Do not use loose, damaged or bent Ethernet or LAN
cable.
• Do not clean your Outdoor LTE Modem with a wet
cloth.
• The Outdoor LTE Modem is a professional device.
Keep the Outdoor LTE Modem away from children
and animals.
• Do not modify, disassemble or repair your Outdoor
LTE Modem on your own.
• Turn off device in high frequency areas.
• Do not keep your Outdoor LTE Modem near
magnetic areas.
• Do not use your Outdoor LTE Modem during bad
weather. It may cause an explosion and severe injury
or fire.
• The outdoor unit must be installed by qualified
technicians.
• Do not damage the rubber seal on the SIM
compartment cover or overtighten the compartment
cover’s screw. Doing so may allow water to enter and
damage the outdoor unit.
