Exposure times tele-exposure:

Automatic Exposure Blockage:

0,1 – 4,00s

The duration of the exposure blockage (cool-off period) depends on the kV/mA step set and the actually triggered radiation time. Depending on the tube load, pause times up to 200s are set automatically.

Example: For tele-exposure with exposure data 78kV/10mA and exposure time 0.8s a cool-down time of 8s is observed.

Reproducibility of Tele-Exposures

After positioning the patient, note the values of the readings on the cephalometer scales to assure examination reproducibility.

Enlargement of Lateral Projections

With this technique a metal scale (25) integrated into the nose support appears on the radiograph. Using this scale it is possible to accurately measure the enlargement ratio in the central plane.

The four patient symbol keys are preprogrammed with kV/mA and s values.

The keys can be freely programmed with other values. See „Program Values – Tele-Radiography” on page 17.

1. Adjust diaphragm 3 or 4 for ceph function. The C dis- play above s on the Multitimer illuminates.

1. Set desired kV and s values with – + keys.

2. Press memory programming key. The LED above the programming key blinks.

3. Press the appropriate patient symbol key. The appropriate LED lights up.

The LED goes out when the values have been stored. Programming is complete.

Enter new values in the ”Freely programmed values” table for tele-radiography (see page 17).
