EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

CASEtteD Crafts is a small, group business that will be launched at Kolehiyo ng Lungsod
ng Lipa Car Park on December 4, 2018. It will offer different kinds of products in the community
and hopefully discover a next level of marketing their unique products. They will be using recycled
materials such as old cassettes and CDs to make a craft combining their ability, skills and
creativity to make a useful and valuable household material.

VISION
To be one of the companies that advocates towards green environment by providing an
alternative, useful and valuable household materials from old cassettes and cd.

MISSION
To provide the highest-quality crafts to our customers by utilizing scrap materials as
resources

CURRENT POSITION
A. History
Before the era of smartphones and tablets, listening to music was a very special
experience as one couldn’t just skip between the songs or start a song over if one wanted
to play it on repeat. Cassette tapes really pushed us to experience an album as a whole
and some people are really fond of keeping them for sentimental reasons but boxes of old
cassettes (often hundreds of tapes in each collection) take up valuable space. Since the
technology moves fast, the collection of these old cassette tapes may be just tucked away
in a box gathering dust. Oftentimes, these old collections usually get thrown in the trash.
Thus, adding to the number of electronic waste of our modern world.
In line with this, we come up with the idea of putting up a business venture called
CASEtteD Crafts. The business venture will be repurposing these old cassette tapes by
producing alternative, useful and valuable household crafts such as case holders, lamps
and drawers. By doing this, we will be able to lessen the electronic waste thus advertising
towards green environment.

B. Product/Services
CASEtted Crafts is a business venture that cares about the customers’ needs and
the environment. It will be offering low cost valuable crafts such as the CASEtted Holder,
CASEtteD Lampshade and CASEtted Drawers that will contribute to the reduction of
electronic wastes.
C. Resource
The business venture will collect all the old cassettes tapes, CDs from the
registered customers, households, offices and the manufacturing units of various products
and kept this waste as a raw material for recycling. It should ensure a strong relationship
with the possible provider of the raw materials so that it will continue to succeed its way in
the market. The business venture may also provide special electronic-waste bins to the
registered customers and malls, in which they can put the waste materials and kept for
pick up and transport these to their production department, once a week. The business
venture may also consider going to different junk shops so as to buy their collected e-
waste.

is essential to our daily operations.
The business advisers are the co-members/founders who are seeing the day-
to-day operation and the loyal customers who can give their suggestions to improve
the products and services since the business believe that the customers are always
right.
E. Organizational Structure

Putting up the different employees in the different departments whereas they are
classified to what are their capabilities and abilities to match with their work. Having right
people to right places and task is difficult but when see the end; it will give us the positive
result where the business is growing larger because of its key, the people behind the
operations.

Responsibilities and Duties of the members of the organization:

F. Marketing

The group is a new business so there are no existing marketing activities in place.
There is no brand awareness in the crafts market. Since the group is in the community, the
group will be having a community program where the interested people gathered and want to
learn about crafts.
A graphic designer has developed a logo, business cards and letterheads ready to
promote the business. The business will engage to social medias like Facebook, Twitter and
Instagram with a name of CASEtteD Crafts to promote the products.

G. Ownership Structure
The success of the CASEtteD Crafts will be based on the concept of making a profit while
helping the environment. However, it is a large undertaking and it will face serious
competition in the market. By making a detailed plan, locking in financing, understanding
the legal requirements, and using good business sense, the business venture can make
its way towards the market. Thus, the business will be under a sole proprietorship type of
ownership structure since it is just a starting companywherein

the partnership will depend on the partnership agreement which should be drafted with the
help of an attorney and should comprehensively regulate business matters to avoid
misunderstandings down the line.
