AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING COURSE

B1.1 and B1.2 combined course

Aviation Maintenance Engineering College (AMEC) is a part of Fujairah Aviation Academy, which
is a 147 Training Organization approved by UAE GCAA (General Civil Aviation Authority)
and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

TRAINING PROGRAM
The combined course is scheduled for approximately 24 months divided into
Theoretical Lectures and Practical Training as per CAR/PART147, preceded by
7 weeks (180hrs) of Technical English Language as a prerequisite.

The phases of training ar e as below:

Phase 1: It is divided into Theoretical Lectures and Practical Sessions (2200hrs)

covering the following modules:
1- Mathematics
2- Physics
3- Electrical Fundamentals
4- Electronic Fundamentals
5- Digital Techniques
6- Materials and Hardware
7- Maintenance Practices
8- Basic Aerodynamics
9- Human Factors
10- Aviation Legislation
11- Aeroplane Aerodynamics Structures and Systems
12- Gas Turbine Engine
13- Piston Engine
14- Propellers

 Phase 2: On Job Training (OJT) (which is part of practical training):
The duration of this phase is 400hrs and will be conducted with an approved AMO. This is
arranged at
FujAA and at an external AMO which are approved by the GCAA/EASA for this purpose.

REQUIREMENTS FOR COURSE ENROLLMENT

1. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age.

2. Applicants must have one of the following levels at English language:-
a- Minimum 4.5 in IELETS( in each skill level)
b- Minimum of 60% in TOEFEL
c- Minimum of 50% at FujAA exam center.
3. Applicant must pass basic mathematics and physics exam at FujAA exam center by 50% for
each one.
4. Applicants must pass the Technical English Language course prior to start the core training.

At the end of the course the student will be granted two certificates of
recognition approved under CAR and PART 147 (GCAA & EASA).

COURSE FEES
GCAA & EASA Certificates - AED 130,000 (AED One Hundred Thirty Thousand Only) ,the
Fees are exclusive of UAE-VAT which will be charged additionally.

COURSE FEES INCLUDES

1. All Books and Training Materials
2. All Theoretical Lessons & Practical Lessons (2200hrs)
3. The On Job Training (OJT) (400hrs)
4. Academy uniforms
5. GCAA and EASA exam fees (one attempt for each module, 14 Multiple Choice and 3 essay
exams)

 PAYMENT SCHEDULE
1. First installment of AED 5,000 payable prior to course start date.
2. Second installment of AED 5,000 will be paid on second month of the course.
3. The remaining amount (AED 120,000 will be paid in twenty equal installment of AED
6,000 in the succeeding months (20XAED 6,000).

ADDITIONAL COSTS
1. Enrollment Fees AED 500.
2. Visa Fees – Per Year (If Required)
- AED 3,000 Outside Country
- AED 3,500 Inside Country
3. Extra Theoretical Lessons/ Practical Lessons Fees AED 50 per hour.
4. GCAA exam fees for any failed module.
5. License Application

Notes:-
1. The costs stated above are minimum rates and it may vary depending upon each
individual’s capability of learning. The duration of the course also depends upon the
attendance of the student, weather conditions and the various maintenance
requirements for the aircraft.
