Tajuk : Pupils show off and Scream to answer a question

1. ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN :

JURNAL
This is my 3rd week in SJKT Ladang Chemor, I faced the problems of pupils showing off and screaming
when they knew the answer to the questions that the teacher ask. Some pupils are clever and can follow the
teacher's teaching process very well. Therefore, pupils receive the appropriate input from the teacher and
they can perform the activities planned by the teacher. Currently, pupils love to show off when teachers are
teaching. Some of these pupils may have the impression that they are wiser than other classmates.
Additionally, pupils also always raise hands and scream when they know something to get attention from the
teacher. These relatively slow pupils will be left behind. These weak students are just silent as the teachers
raise questions and carry out teaching activities.

2. ANALISIS ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN (PUNCA DAN KESAN ISU) :


This problem can be solved by categorizing pupils according to the students' ability level. With this, these
wise pupils can help the poor students in following the teaching process of the teacher. At this age, pupils
aged 7 to 12 prefer to hear conversations of the same age group than the teacher.

3. KAJIAN LAMPAU (LITERATURE REVIEW) TERHADAP ISU (PENGALAMAN ATAU KAJIAN LEPAS) :
According to Vygotsky in Noriati A. Rashid, Boon Pong Ying and Sharifah Fakhriah Syed Ahmad (2012), the
development of the concept of pupils develops systematically, logically and rationally with the help and
verbal guidance of others. He also considers that learning can take place through play, formal delivery or
collaboration between students and more experienced students.
Pupils can learn quickly and effectively with guidance from more experienced people. Guidance from
more experienced teachers and students is known as scaffolding in Vygotsky's cognitive developmental
theory. According to Vygotsky in Wong Kiet Wah et. al. (2013), scaffolding means a framework that supports
the individual learning process. Guidance given to pupils will be reduced once they are able to master the
ranks so they can do it themselves. The problem of wise pupils who like to show off and scream when they
know something can also be reduced by using scaffolding method. This is because these wise pupils will
have the responsibility to help students who are slow in the process of teaching and learning. They will help
each other.

4. CADANGAN DAN IDEA PENYELESAIAN MASALAH :


To address the differences in academic achievement differences, the distribution of duties according to the
pupils' interest and ability is very important. Pupils with similar interests or capabilities are grouped in the
same group. Teachers should provide training or tasks appropriate to the level of ability of pupils to
encourage them to think and grow further. The courage of the teacher to explore various ways and activities
as well as the provision of learning space that leads to efforts to meet the needs and interests of individuals.
Teachers should plan appropriate teaching and learning activities for the fun of pupils and can control
classroom conditions. Additionally, teachers also hold individual guidance and provide individual training for
late students. Not only will the workout exercises be tailored to the ability of pupils When teachers assign
tasks according to the interests of their children they will not be tired of doing their tasks more actively. With
this they will quickly understand what the teacher is teaching in the classroom and they can not forget about
it as quickly as possible.
Co-operative learning is learning in heterogeneous groups where there are usually smart and slow
pupils (Slavin, 1982). In these learning activities, intelligent students are required to help the weak pupils.
Intelligent pupils will be very helpful to the weak students because the scores obtained by each individual in
the group will be the group's score. Indirectly, it can foster a sense of cooperation when each group
competes with each other. This teaching method uses the "scaffolding" idea in Vygotsky's Cognitive
Development Theory, where intelligent students will guide the weak students in the development zone
proximal. This is because there are times when peer teaching is more effective than teachers, because
lateral thinking can be used by these smart pupils.

6. TINDAKAN SUSULAN :

If this scaffolding method is still ineffective, the teacher will use positive and negative reinforcement to solve
this problem. With this, pupils will have an impression that they will receive a reprimand from the teacher if it
interferes with the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. Additionally, teachers need to ensure
that students who are less clever are also getting the proper inputs from the teacher's teaching process.

This cooperative learning will create a harmonious situation in the classroom. This is because pupils will help
each other in mastering the teaching and learning process delivered by the teacher. Pupils will be more
comfortable if their own colleagues teach them in mastering a learning topic.

9. KESIMPULAN / REFLEKSI (KESAN TINDAKAN (PERLU) DAN HALANGAN (JIKA ADA) :

In conclusion, the attitude of pupils who like to point out and scream when they know something can be
solved through cooperative learning. A rather brilliant pupil will have the responsibility to help their poor
friends in mastering the teaching and learning process.
