Role Summary
Role purpose
The role of the CAMO Quality Engineer is to be available to perform the following CAMO Quality Management
System functions:
Audit interfaces, including Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO – External) and Continuing
Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO – Internal) Audits
Evaluate/Investigate Maintenance / Error & Escape and Maintenance Overrun Events (AMO & CAMO) per
Local Procedures (includes ESR review)
Processing Finding, Corrective and Preventative Actions in the Airline’s Safety Database (Intelex)
Participate in and support VA investigations, and, in conjunction with Safety Systems (as required)
Conduct Vendor Assessments and Approvals , as may be required
Facilitate the VAA CAMO’s Management Safety and Risk Review Committee (MSRRC) Safety performance
Scorecard and report preparation
Any other duties as directed by the CAMO Quality Leader

b) The suppliers to the Virgin Australia Airline’s CAMO meet the required
regulatory standards, by performing AMO Audits, Vendor Approvals
(when required), Maintenance Error and Escape Investigations and
Corrective/Preventative Action processes
