Applicant Onboarding Checklist & User Guide

Welcome to H&R Block! This document will help you prepare for your first day and guide you through the
Onboarding Portal. Please read through the following two sections of this document carefully.
1. Onboarding Checklist—Please print or save this document. You will need to reference this document before
and after you have completed your onboarding paperwork to access the Self Service module to set up your W4
and direct deposit information. You will also need to verify your personal data and access the timekeeping
system.
2. Onboarding Portal User Guide for Applicants—This guide will take you through the steps to successfully
complete your hiring documents.

Congratulations and welcome to H&R Block. To finalize the on-boarding process, you must create an account
and login. To create an account, please follow the instructions listed below.

Please print/save this document as you will need this information to create your account. You
will need to wait 24-48 hours after you complete your hiring documents before you can create
your account.

As you create your account, you will be prompted to enter the following Reservation ID:

1. In order to complete your account and login please go to https://dna.hrblock.com/web/login/home and click on
the First Time Seasonal Applicants link on the top left section of the sign-in page as shown below.

2. After selecting the First Time Seasonal Applicants link the following screen will appear:

On the First Tim e User Screen:


a. Enter this value HJ8G5SH450 into the Reservation Id field.
b. Enter the security numbers from the displayed graphics.
c. Enter the ZIP Code used on your application/profile.
d. Enter the last five digits of your Social Security Number.
e. Create a password with at least eight characters. At least one character must be a number and an
uppercase letter. For example: Abcedfg9. Remember this case sensitive password.
f. Retype the password to confirm it.
g. Enter your mother’s maiden name. You may need this information in the future if you forget your
password.

3. Click Continue. The following screen appears, displaying your PeopleSoft Employee ID. Use this
number for future H&R Block system logins (such as your Single Sign-on ID). Please write down this ID as
you will need this to access the system.

4. Click "Continue“ and the system sign-on screen appears:

5. Enter the following:


a. Your Single Sign-on ID, i.e. your PeopleSoft ID. (See step 3.)
b. Your password. (See Step 2.)
c. Click Log In – You should now have access to sign on to DNA.
