All foreign rated players above 2100 rating : Free
Rated above 2300 : Rs. 6000/-
Rated above 1900-2299 : Rs. 7000/-
Rated below 1900 : Rs. 10,000/-
No request towards waiver of entry fee will be entertained.
The last date of entry : 20th Dec 2018

Entries with late fee of Rs. 500 upto 07th Jan 2019
Please note that this entry fee structure is valid only until 25th December 2018. Thereafter till
7thJanuary 2019 the participants will have to pay Rs. 500/- extra. Entries will also be accepted
at the venue till 20:00 Hrs. on 8th January 2019 with a late fee of Rs. 1,000/-. No request
towards waiver of entry fee or waiver of late fee will be entertained.
Tournament Rules:
System of Play:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 10
rounds.
Time Control:
90 Minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1 for entire game.
Default Time (Walk Over Time):

The default time will be 30 minutes
Draw Offer:
Players can’t make an agreed draw before 30th black move.
Tie Break:
In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will not
be shared.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Entry Registration
All the entries to be forwarded along with entry form and entry fee by DD (Delhi Cheques will
also be accepted) favoring Delhi Chess Association, payable at Delhi. Address for sending the
entries is the Secretary, Delhi Chess Association, C/O Hotel KC PLAZA, 5588, Basant Lane,
Pharganj, New Delhi-110055.
Players can also pay the entry fee and submit the entries through:

Delhi Chess Association Mobile App availaible on Apple store & Google play store
Players can also pay the entry fee directly to the following account through NEFT and forward
the entry form along with transaction receipt. Please note that cash deposit in account will not

Players of all Categories will get Rs. 500 discounts in entry fee, if they pay the entry fee
before 15th November 2018.
Players of Category ‘C’ will get Rs. 1000 discount in entry fee, if they opt to play Catego-
ry ‘B’ also. This discount will be available upto 20 Dec 2018 only
A discount of 50% in entry fee will be granted to all Military/Para Military/Police Person-
nel and Veterans above the age of 60. This discount will be available upto 15th Novem-
ber 2018 only.
Players can avail one discount only.
Entry Form
It is mandatory to forward the entry form in the given format for accepting the entries along with
prescribed entry fee. The organizing Committee has the right to accept or reject any entry
without assigning any reason.
AICF Registration:
All Indian players must be registered with AICF for the year 2018-19 before the registration
deadline to participate in the tournament. All players are to forward AICF registration ID along
with entry. Those who not registered with AICF, required to do AICF registration online at
www.aicf.in before sending their entry registration

Electronic Devices
All electronic items including wrist watches (all type of watches) are not allowed in the
tournament hall.
Weather:
The Weather in Delhi during January is expected to be cold.
The minimum / maximum temperature will be around 10/25 Degree Celsius.
Reporting & Venue:
Players who require accommodation are to report at Hotel KC Plaza, 5588, Basant Road,
Paharganj, New Delhi (Opposite to New Delhi Railway Station and Near Karnail Singh Stadi-
um) as per arrival schedule.

ACCOMMODATION
‘A’ CATEGORY
GMs/WGMs: -
1. Please select your choice of roommate for double sharing accommodation free of charges
from confirmed list of players with mutual consent. This includes three meals.
2. If want to stay in single room pay Rs. 30,000/- for entire duration of tournament. This
includes three meals.
IMs/WIMs: -
1. Please select your choice of roommate for double sharing accommodation free of charges
from confirmed list of players with mutual consent.
2. If want to stay in single room pay Rs. 20,000/- for superior deluxe room and Rs. 10,000/- for
deluxe room for entire duration of tournament.
Other Players: -
1. Please select your choice of roommates for triple sharing accommodation free of charges
from confirmed list of players with mutual consent.
2. If you want to stay in official hotel/similar hotel (GMs are staying) Rs. 55,000/- needs to be
paid for double sharing accommodation with three meals for entire duration of tournament.
3. In other hotels if you want to stay in double occupancy (Option 1: Rs 4000 each & Option 2 :
Rs. 2500 each) for entire duration of stay.
4. If the player want to stay with guardian in double occupancy (Option 1 : Rs. 10000/- &
Option 2: Rs. 7000) for entire duration of stay.
‘B & C’ (Combined) Category
1. Please select your choice of roommates for triple sharing/dormitory accommodation free of
charges from confirmed list of players with mutual consent. Please note you can select only
players, who is playing both B & C.
2. If you want to stay in official hotel/similar hotel (GMs are staying) Rs. 55,000/- needs to be

General Instructions: -
1. The rooms with option facilities are limited in number and will be allotted on first cum first
serve basis.
2. Players need to pay the amount in advance to the Delhi Chess Association account by NEFT
and confirm the same by email.
3. In case you are not opted any above options, the organizing committee will allot the rooms
on first cum first serve basis as per the hotel status and choice of roommates will not be feasi-
ble.
4. As a courtesy, If the player is not availing the accommodation, kindly inform us the same in
advance by email.
