Vocabulary:

VERB + INFINITIVE
We use infinitives after certain verbs, those
can include: hope, try, want, learn, need,
promise, decide and agree.
VERB + GERUND
We use gerunds after certain verbs, those
include: avoid, enjoy, stop, finish, give up,
consider.
VERB + INFINITIVE OR GERUND
We can use infinitives or gerunds after certain
verbs, those verbs are:
Like, prefer, hate, begin, continue and love.
Examples of grammar:
Carlos hopes to finish this course successfully.
I tried to do my best in the exam.
Children learn to write in pre-school.
They will need to go to the library.
Her husband promised to be a good person.
You decided to study Chemistry.
I agreed to buy that new house.
Examples of grammar:
I avoid going to the meeting.
Pablo enjoyed visiting the pyramids.
She stopped smoking!
You are going to finish working hard, when you
end your career!!
He gave up asking a favor!!
You have to consider studying a Master
Degree!!
Examples of grammar:
She likes to dance salsita!!
She likes dancing salsita!!
I prefer to take a nap!
I prefer taking a nap!
Tomas hated to run when he was young.
Tomas hated running when he was youg.
Jane has just begun to learn to drive.
Jane has just begun learning to drive.
He paused for a moment to listen and then
continued to eat.
He paused for a moment to listen and then
 continued eating.

He loves to ski.
He loves skiing.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As you can see these verbs

can be used both, infinitive and gerunds.

Every team also has to give an example of each word from the vocabulary. They are 8 words.
