CONTENT STANDARD : 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words
and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
1.3 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to understand and
respond to oral texts in a variety of contexts.
LEARNING STANDARD : 1.1.4 Able to talk about related topics with guidance.
1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts by:
(a) asking and answering questions
OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. talk about related topics with guidance.
2. listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts
ACTIVITY : 1. Talk about the picture( Page 1 –Textbook)
 Understanding of oral texts by asking and answering questions.
 What can you see? Who lives her?
 How do the people get around? What do the people do for a living?

 In group, discuss the picture and practice the dialogue
 Practice the dialogue as a class, in group and in pair.
 Presentation - Simulation ( say and act the dialogue)

LEARNING STANDARD : 2.2.2 Able to read and understand phrases and sentences from:
(a) linear texts
OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. read and show satisfactory understanding of a text by answering the
comprehension questions
1. read and understand the steps of Making Salted fish

words in neat legible print including cursive writing.
3.2 By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will be able to write using
appropriate language, form and style for a range of purposes.
LEARNING STANDARD : 3.1.2 Able to write in neat cursive writing with correct spelling:
(a) words
3.2.1 Able to transfer information with guidance to complete:
(b) non-linear texts
OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. rewrite a poem in cursive writing.
2. write in cursive writing precisely.
ACTIVITY : 1. Give pupils a piece of paper and asks them to rewrite the displayed sentences with a
beautiful and creative handwriting.
2. Teacher shows some example of cursive writing.

(a) common nouns
OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. identify and know the usage of common nouns
2. apply common nouns in writing.
ACTIVITY : 1. Show some pictures of place, people and thing.
2. Ask pupils to name them.

(a) characters
OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. Talk about the characters in the story heard.
2. Give personal responses to the story heard.
ACTIVITY : 1. Ask pupils to guess the main characters of some famous fairytales story examples:
Cinderella, sleeping beauty.etc.
2. Have a light and short conversation with pupils. Let’s read( Page 10)
1. Reads and acts the story.
