CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY

A joint pre-construction meeting will be conducted by the representative of the


implementing agency and the representative of the contractor to discuss the scope of works
indicated on the approved program of works and plans.

The contractor will be responsible for the setting up of their facilities, equipments and
the disposition of various facilities at the end of the project construction. The contractor shall
bring in all the required equipment to the site.

The contractor will furnish, deliver, place and complete any and all necessary materials,
labor, equipment, supplies, utilities, transportation, supervision and other facilities in connection
with the project and to perform all operation necessary to complete and ready for use on the
work involved.

Samples of materials are to be tested for the corresponding materials and quality control
test prior to the usage of it.

Construction work starts with removal of existing pavement, existing sidewalk and curb
and gutter followed by the excavation of the propose RC Pipe Culvert drainage.

Reinforced Concrete Pipe Culvert construction starts with Breaking of concrete on


selected areas for PCCP Pavement and laying of RC Pipe Culvert as specified on plan shall follow
to be connected to every manhole with a required slope and elevation as indicated on plan and
then backfilled. Drainage construction must start from their designated outfalls. Next,
construction of proposed CHB Wall below the proposed sidewalk at Pedro E. Diaz Street (Sta.
0+000-C to Sta. 0+207.36-C) and construction of Retaining wall at Sta. 0+207.36-C as
indicated on plan is to be made. Next, manhole construction made of Reinforced Concrete
across the pavement and after completed with concrete cover, installation of steel gratings for
drainage inlet shall be provided as specified on the plan.

The next to be constructed will be the upgrading of roadway which includes subgrade
preparation, laying of aggregate base course and must be properly compacted which will be
monitored thoroughly by this office prior to concrete pouring. Restoration of sidewalk and curb
and gutter and construction of driveway is also included in the proposed project.

As soon as all phases of work have been done in accordance with the approved plans
and specifications, a joint final survey is to be conducted prior to the issuance of final
acceptance.
