Maintenance and Repair Instructions 1140.

Allgemeines

MAQUET Produkte unterliegen einem jährlichen Wartungsrythmus

( bei ca. 200 ... 300 Betriebsstunden/Jahr)

Beschädigte oder defekte Bauteile können nach dieser Wartungs- und

Reparaturanleitung ausgetauscht werden.

Für Reparaturen sind teilweise spezielle Werkzeuge und

Vorrichtungen notwendig.

Wartungen und Reparaturen dürfen nur durch MAQUET AG oder durch

von MAQUET lizensiertes und autorisiertes Service Personal ausgeführt werden!

Zur Einstellung des IR-Codes benutzen Sie bitte die „Technische Beschreibung“
des jeweiligen OP-Tisches.

Prüfanleitung für hydraulische OP-Tische 9491.0354 zur Fehlersuche benutzen.

General

MAQUET products are subject to maintenance within an annual interval.

(app. 200 ... 300 hours of equipment operation)

Damaged or defective parts are to be replaced as per this maintenance

and repair instructions.

Repair work may require special tools and mounting devices.

Maintenance or repair work is only to be carried out by MAQUET AG

or other service personnel licensed by MAQUET

For adjusting the IR-Code use „Technical Description of the corresponding

operating table.

1. Reparaturanleitungen OP-Tischlagerflächen

1.1. Universal OP-Lagerfäche 1140.10

1.2 Bowdenzug für Längsverschiebung und Neigungswaage

OP tischplatte auf die Säule übernehmen.Längsverschiebung in Mittelstellung.

( nicht in Übernahmeposition ) Rückenteil (2) der Lagerfläche in höchste Stellung bringen.
Gasfeder im linken Holmen ausbauen. Abdeckblech (2) und Kunststoffabdeckung (20 + 23) entfernen,
Schraube (7) des Griffes (18) am linken Holmen entfernen. Griff (8) abziehen. Schraube (4) entfernen und
Griffachse (5) herausziehen.
Aufnahmehülse (18) und Deckscheibe (19) fällt heraus.
Gewindestift (9) des Feststellringes (11) lösen und Feststellring abziehen.
Befestigungsschrauben (11) des Sitzplattenholmes entfernen. Schrauben (12) nur lösen. ( siehe Bild )
Sitzplattenholm mit Gurt (24) gegen herabfallen sichern.
Rückenholme in waagrechte Stellung bringen, Bowdenzug (1) am Verriegelungskamm (15) aushängen
4 Schrauben (14) entfernen und Verriegelungskamm (13) mit Neigungswaage) demontieren.

Achtung: Waage (17) nicht verbiegen! (Funktionsstörung)

Bowdenzug (1) kann nun herausgezogen werden. Montage in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
Hinweis Auf Verlegung des Bowdenzuges achten. Bowdenzug durch die Öse führen.
Funktionskontrolle durchführen:
- Bowdenzugsverstellung wird am Feststellring (10) eingestellt,
d. h. in verriegelter Position muß der Verriegelungskamm (13) vollständig
eingreifen, im gelösten Zustand muß Verriegelungskamm vollständig frei sein.
- Falls OP-Tisch nicht in "0"-Position ist muß die Waage (17) die Entriegelung verhindern!
- Falls OP-Tisch in "0"-Position ist darf die Waage (17) die Entriegelung nicht verhindern!

1. Repair word for operating table tops

1.1 Universal table top 1140.10

1.2 Bowden cable for longitudinal shift and trendelenburg cradle

Transfer the tale top to the column.

Move the table to the center of its shifting range. Raise the back section (2) of the table top to its
uppermost position. Remove the gas-loaded spring in the left-hand rail.
Remove the cover plate (2). Remove the plastic cover, loosen the screw (7)
for the grip (8) in the left-hand rail (6). Remove the grip (8). Remove the screw (4) and draw out
the grip shaft (5). The retainer tube (18) and cover disc (19) will come out.
Loosen the grub screw (9) of the locking ring (10) and remove the locking ring.
Remove the seven fixing screws (11) at the seat plate rail. Only loosen the 8th screw (12),
do not remove it. Secure seat plate rail with a belt to provide it from falling down.
Move the back rails into the horizontal position. Unhinge the Bowden cable (1) at the locking cog (13),
remove the four screws (14) and remove locking cog (13).

Important: Do not bend the cradle (15) as this will cause malfunctions!

The Bowden cable (16) can now be pulled out.

Reassemble in reverse order.
Note: Make sure that the Bowden cable is routed correctly. It must pass through the eye.

Conduct a functional check:

- The Bowden cable is adjusted at the locking ring (10). When in the locked position, the locking
cog (13) must engage completely; when released, the locking cog must be completely free.
- If the operating table is not in its ”0” position, the cradle (15) must prevent unlocking!
- If the operating table is in its ”0” position, the cradle (15) must not hinder unlocking!

1.3. Gasdruckfeder im rechten Holmen

Polster (Platten) auf der Lagerfläche entfernen. Rückenteil (1) der Lagerfläche in höchste
Stellung bringen. Abdeckblech (2) und Kunststoffabdeckung (3) entfernen.
Sicherungsscheiben (4) an den Lagerbolzen (5, 6, 7) entfernen.
Lagerbolzen (5, 6) mit Bolzenabzieher entfernen

Äußerer Lagerbolzen (7) bis zur Gleitschiene (8) heraustreiben. Gasfeder (9) mit Stangenkopf (10)
nach unten herausnehmen. Stößelstange (11) mit Spitzzange durch die Montageöffnung
herausnehmen.Kolbenstange der neuen Gasfeder komplett ausfahren, hierzu Auslösestößel
durch Druck auf eine Holzunterlage eindrücken.

Achtung: Kolbenstange fährt dann selbständig aus!

Kolbenstange und Druckrohr der Gasfeder nicht mit Zange fassen.
(keine Beschädigung zulässig! )

Stangenkopf (10) mit Kunststoffdistanzring (28) auf die neue Gasfeder übernehmen. Montagemaße 1,5
bzw. 3,5 mm beachten. Kontermutter (27) der Kolbenstange mit min. 10 Nm - max. 20 Nm anziehen.
Druckstück (12) einlegen (siehe Bild). Stößelstange (11) Einstellmaß (ca. 13 mm) beachten,
Kontermutter (13) nicht anziehen. Stößelstangen durch Montageöffnung einsetzen,
Kugelzapfen (14) der Welle (20) zeigt zur Holmeninnenseite!
Gasfeder in Holmen einführen und mit Lagerbolzen (5, 6, 7) und Sicherungsscheiben fixieren.
Nach Montage an allen Gasfederlagerstellen Freigängigkeit prüfen.
(Verkantung der Gasfeder nicht zulässig! )

1.3. Gas-loaded spring in the right-hand rail

Remove the padding (plates) from the table top. Raise the back section (1) of the table top to its
uppermost position. Remove the cover plate (2) and the plastic cover (3).

Remove the clamping rings (4) at the bearing pins (5, 6, 7).
Use the pin extractor to remove the bearing pins (5, 6).
Drive the outer bearing pin (7) out to the side rail (8).
Remove the gas spring (9) with the piston rod end (10) downward.
Use the needle-nosed pliers to reach through the assembly opening and remove the tappet rod (11).

Extend the piston rod of the new gas spring to maximum length.
To do this, press tappet on a wooden support.

Attention: The unit will then extend automatically! Do not grip the piston rod and the pressure tube
of the gas spring with the pliers. (Any damage must be avoided!)

Mount the rod end (10) with the spacer ring (28) on the new gas spring, observing the assembly
dimensions of 1.5 and 3.5 mm.
Tighten the counternut (27) of the piston rod with a min. torque of 10 Nm, max. 20 Nm.
Insert the thrust pad (12) (see illustration).
Observe the setting dimension (approx. 13 mm) for the tappet rod (11).
Do not tighten the counternut (13).
Mount the tappet rods by reaching through the assembly opening.
The ball pivot (14) of the shaft (20) is turned towards the inside of the rail!
Insert gas spring into the rail and fasten using bearing pins (5, 6, 7) and the clamping rings.
After assembly, check smooth running at all bearing points of the gas spring.
(Gas spring must be not tilted!).

Einstellanweisung Gasfederbetätigung (rechter Griff)

Abdeckung (26) mit einem Messer abhebeln (ab Baujahr 1993)

Zwei Schrauben M6 x 16 der Welle (20) entfernen und Griffhülse (18) abziehen.
Gewindestifte (19) lösen (falls nötig neuer Feststellring (23) mit Stift (25) und neuer Feder (24) montieren).
Feststellring (23) mit Torsionsfeder (24) soweit gegen den Uhrzeigersinn verdrehen,
bis Stift (15) in die Aussparung einrastet, mit Gewindestifte (19) sichern, Anzugsmoment = 4 Nm.
Stößelstange (11) Spiel von ca. 0,2 - 0,5 mm Spiel einstellen. Griffhülse (18) montieren.
Kontermutter (13) gegen Stößelstange (11) mit Anzugsmoment von min. ca. 12 NM anziehen
und im Anschluß nochmals das Spiel 0,2 - 0,5 mm zum Kugelzapfen prüfen.

Funktionskontrolle:

Rückenteil in oberste Stellung, Anschlag "oben" und "unten" der Griffhülse (18) mit Bleistift markieren
(ca. 30 mm Bogenmaß), Rückenteil belasten, Griff gegen Uhrzeigersinn drehen und nach 15 - 20 mm
Verdrehung (Bogenmaß) muß die Gasfeder auslösen, Rückenteil bewegt sich (Hoch und Tief).
Der Griff muß nach dem Loslassen aus jeder Stellung wieder in die Ruhestellung (Anschlag) zurückfedern.
Rückenplatte waagerecht ausrichten, nicht belasten.
Griff drehen bis sich die Rückenplatte sebstständig nach oben bewegt.
Auslösung muß min. 5 mm vor dem mechanischen Anschlag des Griffes erfolgen.

Adjustment of gas spring acutation (right-hand handle)

Remove the cover (26) using a knife (model 1993 and later).
Remove the two screws M6 x 16 of shaft (20) and extract the handle sleeve (18).
Unscrew the grub screws (19) (if required, mount new locking ring (23) with pin (25) and new spring (24).
Turn locking ring (23) with torsion spring (24) anticlockwise until pin (15) engages completely,
secure using the grub screws (19). Tighten with 4 Nm.
Set a play of 0.2 - 0.5 mm for the tappet rod (11) and mount the handle sleeve (18).
Tighten the counternut (13) against the tappet rod (11) with a min. torque of 12 Nm and check again
the play of 0.2 - 0.5 mm with the ball pivot.

Functional check:

Raise back plate to its uppermost position, mark the ”upper” and ”lower” stop of the handle sleeve (18)
with a lead pencil (radian measure approx. 30 mm).
Place a weight on the back section, turn handle anticlockwise, the gas spring must release after
a path of 15 - 20 mm (radian measure), the back section moves (up and down).
After releasing, the handle must spring back into ist neutral position (stop) from any position.
Move the back plate into the horizontal position, do not place a weight on it.
Turn the handle until the back plate moves upwards.

The gas spring must be released at least 5 mm before the handle reaches the mechanical stop.

Ist das Maß < 15 mm - Griffhülse (18) entfernen, Feststellring (23) mit der Hand festhalten,
Gewindestifte (19) lösen, Welle (20) im Uhrzeigersinn etwas verdrehen (ca. 5° - 10°),
Gewindestifte (19) festziehen. Welle darf kein Axialspiel aufweisen!
Spiel der Stößelstange (11) auf 0,2 - 0,5 mm neu einstellen.
Kontermutter (13) gegen Stößelstange (11) mit Anzugsmoment von min. ca. 12 Nm anziehen
und am Anschluß nochmals das Spiel 0,2 - 0,5 mm zum Kugelzapfen prüfen.
Funktionskontrolle durchführen.

Ist das Maß > 20 mm - Griffhülse (18) entfernen. Feststellring (23) mit der Hand festhalten,
Gewindestifte (19) lösen.
Welle (20) gegen Uhrzeigersinn etwas verdrehen (ca. 5° - 10°).
Gewindestift (19) festdrehen, Anzugsmoment = 4 Nm.
Welle (20) darf kein Axialspiel aufweisen!
Spiel der Stößel (11) auf 0,2 - 0,5 mm neu einstellen.
Kontermutter (13) gegen Stößelstange (11) mit min. ca. 12 Nm anziehen und danach
nochmals das Spiel der Stößelstange (11) 0,2 - 0,5 mm zum Kugelzapfen prüfen.
Funktionskontrolle durchführen.

If the path is < 15 mm, remove the handle sleeve (18), hold the locking ring (23) with the hand,
loosen the grub screws (19), turn shaft (20) clockwise (approx. 5 - 10°) and tighten the grub screws (19).
The shaft must not have any axial play!
Reset the play of the tappet rod (11) to 0.2 - 0.5 mm.
Tighten the counternut (13) against the tappet rod (11) with a min. torque of 12 Nm and check again
the play of 0.2 - 0.5 mm with the ball pivot.

Repeat the functional check.

If the path is > 20 mm, remove handle sleeve (18). Hold the locking ring (23) with the hand,
loosen the grub screws (19), turn shaft (20) anticlockwise (approx. 5 - 10°).
Tighten the grub screw (19) with a torque of 4 Nm.
The shaft (20) must not have any axial play!
Set again a play of 0.2 - 0.5 mm for the tappets (11).
Tighten the counternut (13) against the tappet rod (11) with a min. torque of 12 Nm and check again
the play of 0.2 - 0.5 mm of the tappet rod (11) with the ball pivot.

Repeat the functional check.

1.4. Gelenkkloben (1)

Demontage des Feststellmechanismus. Einbaulage der Haube (3) markieren. Exzenterhebel (9) öffnen
und leicht gegen die Haube (3) drücken. Gewindebolzen (4) entfernen.
Exzenterhebel vorsichtig zurücknehmen und diesen mit Druckscheibe (5), Puffer (6), Exzenterbolzen (11),
Haube (3) und Feder (8) demontieren. Mit Spezialschlüssel (18) Konterring (7) montieren,
mit Stirnlochschlüssel (10) Stellring entfernen.

Achtung: Reibebelag (12) fettfrei halten.

Nun können die defekten Teile ausgetauscht werden.

Montage erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
Die Einstellung erfolgt über die Spannung. Exzenterhebel demontieren

Minimale Einstellung:
Spannung mit Stirnlochschlüssel (10) so einstellen, daß eingesteckte Beinplatten (13)
bei geöffnetem Exzenterhebel (9) nicht selbständig abfällt.

Maximale Einstellung:
Bei geöffnetem Exzenterhebel muß die Beinplatte bei ständigem Druck auf das kurze
Beinplattenteil abfallen.

1.4. Joint clamp (1)

Disassembly of the locking mechanism.

Mark the installation location of the hood (3). Open the eccentric lever (9) and press
lightly against the hood (3). Remove the threaded pin (4).
Carefully pull back the eccentric lever and remove it together with the thrust washer (5)
buffer (6), eccentric pin (11), hood (3) and spring (8).
Use a special-design wrench (18) to mount the locking ring (7), remove the adjusting ring
with the face wrench (10).

Warning: Keep friction lining (12) free of grease.

Defective parts can now be replaced. Assemble in reverse order.

The setting is done through tension. Disassemble eccentric lever.

Minimum setting:
Use the face wrench (10) to set the tension so that when the leg plates (13) are inserted
they will not drop spontaneously when the eccentric lever (9) is released.

Maximum setting:
With the eccentric lever released the leg plate must, when subjected to continious pressure,
drop to the short leg plate section.

1.5. Einstellung Exzenterhebel der Beinplatten

An den Beinplatten genügt gelegentliches Überprüfen der Vorspannung und eventuell

ein Nachstellen der Klemm-Mechanismen für Abklappen und Ausschwenken der Beinplatten.

Nachstellen des Klemm-Mechanismus (12)

Kontermutter (1) lösen. Mit Schraube (2) Klemmung so einstellen, daß bei geöffnetem
Exzenterhebel beim Auschwenken spürbarer Widerstand vorhanden ist.
Kontermutter anziehen.

Nachstellen des Klemm-Mechanismus (13)

Stopfen (3) an der Unterseite des Tragholms entfernen.
Schrauben (4) lösen und Polsterplatte (6) abnehmen.
Konterschraube (7) lockern.
Mit Schraube (8) Klemmung so einstellen, daß bei geöffnetem Exzenterhebel beim Abklappen
spürbarer Widerstand vorhanden ist.

Hinweis: Die Klemmung bei geschlossenem Exzenterhebel kann erhöht werden,

Falls hinter den Exzenterbolzen (9) dünne Ausgleichsscheiben montiert werden.
Dazu Gewindestift (10) herausschrauben, Exzenterbolzen (9) herausziehen und
je nach Bedarf Ausgleichsscheiben (11) unterlegen.

1.5. Setting the eccentric lever at the leg plates

At the leg plates it will be sufficient to check the pre-load value occasionally and if necessary
to adjust the clamping mechanisms used when swinging the leg plates outward or downward.

Resetting the clamping mechanism (12)

Loosen the lock nut (1). Set the screw (2) to adjust the clamping action so that with the eccentric
lever released there is perceptible resistance when the leg plate is swung outward.
Re-tighten the lock nut.

Resetting the clamping mechanism (13)

Remove the plug (3) at the bottom of the support rail.
Remove the screws (4) and detach the padding (6).
Loosen the lock nut (7).
Set the screws (8) to adjust the clamping action so that with the eccentric lever released
there is perceptible resistance when lowering the leg plate.

Note: The clamping action of the eccentric lever when engaged can be increased
by inserting thin shims behind the eccentric pin (9).
To do so, unscrew the grub screw (10), remove the eccentric pin (9)
and insert the number of shims (11) required.

1.6. Reparaturen Extensionstischplatte 114020

1.7. Austausch des Extensionsholmes

Zugspindelaggregat (3), Stützstangen (4) und Beinplatten (5) entfernen.

Gewindestift (6) herausdrehen ( Anschlagschraube der Feststellmutter)
Durch Öffnen der Feststellmutter (7) Spannstück (8) nach oben herausnehmen.
Extensionsholm (2) austauschen.
Montage in umgekehrter Reihenfolge
Einstellung der Feststellmutter prüfen ggf. neu einstellen.

1.8. Austausch der Gleitscheiben ( 11 / 12 ) am Drehgelenk A

Zugspindelaggregat (3), Stützstangen (4) und Beinplatten (5) entfernen.

Gewindestift (6) herausdrehen ( Anschlagschraube der Feststellmutter)
Durch Öffnen der Feststellmutter (7) Spannstück (8) nach oben herausnehmen.
Extensionsholm (2) entfernen.

4 Schrauben (9) entfernen.

Stützscheibe ( 10 ) mit Feststellmutter nach unten wegnehmen.

Achtung:
Einbaulage der Stützscheibe ( 10 ) beachten !
Gewindestift ( 6 ) ist Anschlag für Feststellmutter !

Montage in umgekehrter Reihenfolge

Einstellung der Feststellmutter prüfen ggf. neu einstellen.

1.6. Repair work for the extension taple top 1140.20

1.7. Replacing the traction bar (2)

Remove the screw tension device (3), the supporting bars (4), and the leg plates (5).
Remove the grub screw (6) (stop screw).
Remove the spanner (8) upward by loosening the locking nut (7).
Exchange the traction bar (2).
Adjust the locking nut (7).

1.8. Replacing the slide washers (11/12) at hinge A

Remove the screw tension device (3) and the supporting bar (4).
Remove the grub screw (6) (stop screw).
Remove the spanner (8) upward by loosening the locking nut (7).
Remove the traction bar (2).

Remove 4 screws (9).

Remove the supporting washer (10) together with the locking nut (7) downward.
Exchange the 2 slide washers (11/12).
Reassemble in reverse order.

CAUTION:
Note the mounting position of the supporting washer (10).
The grub screw (6) works as a stop screw.

Adjust the locking nut (7).

1.9. Austausch der Gleitscheiben ( 11 / 12 ) am Drehgelenk B

Zugspindelaggregat (3), Stützstangen (4) und Beinplatten (5) entfernen.

Sitzplatte ( 13 ) entfernen.
Adapter ( 14 ) durch Lösen der 4 Schrauben entfernen.

Gewindestift (6) herausdrehen ( Anschlagschraube der Feststellmutter)

Durch Öffnen der Feststellmutter (7) Spannstück (8) nach oben herausnehmen.
Holm (16) entfernen.

4 Schrauben (9) entfernen.

Stützscheibe ( 10 ) mit Feststellmutter (7) nach unten wegnehmen.

Achtung:
Einbaulage der Stützscheibe ( 10 ) beachten !
Gewindestift ( 6 ) ist Anschlag für Feststellmutter !

Einstellung der Feststellmutter prüfen ggf. neu einstellen.

1.9. Replacing the slide washers ( 11 / 12 ) at hinge B

Remove the screw tension device (3), the supporting bars (4) and the leg plates (5).
Remove the seat plate (13).
Remove the adapter (14) by loosening the 4 screws (15).

Remove the grub screw (6).

Remove the spanner (8) upward by loosening the locking nut (7).
Remove the bar (16).

Remove 4 screws (9).

Remove the supporting washer (10) together with the locking nut (7) downward.
Exchange the 2 slide washers (11/12).

CAUTION:
Note the mounting position of the supporting washer (10).
The grub screw (6) works as a stop screw.

Reassemble in reverse order.

Adjust the locking nut (7).

1.10. Einstellung der Feststellmutter (31)

Zugspindelaggregate mit Holmen ( 29 ) entfernen

Achtung:
Zur Einstellung, der unter dem Adapter (30 ) befindlichen Feststellmutter ( 31 ) muß
das Gelenkholmenpaar ( 32 ) demontiert werden. ( 4 Schrauben )
Anschlagschraube ( 33 ) entfernen.
Feststellmutter ( 31 ) anziehen und die Position des Hebels ( 34 ) gemäß
Skizze I prüfen ggf neu einstellen.

Einstellung:
Feststellmutter ( 31 ) öffnen dann Spannstück ( 35 ) nach oben herausnehmen, Skizze III.
Spannstück ca. ¼ Umdrehung nach rechts oder links verdrehen und wieder einsetzen..
Position des Hebels ( 34 ) nach Skizze I überprüfen ggf. Einstellvorgang wiederholen
bis die gewünschte Position des Hebels im festgestellten Zustand erreicht ist.
Anschlagschraube (33) mit Loctite 243 eindrehen, festziehen und danach
ca. ½ Umdrehung wieder zurückdrehen !

Funktionsprüfung:
Bei geöffneter Feststellmutter ( 31 ) Gelenkholme (36) leichtgängig schwenkbar.
Position des Hebels bei angezogener Feststellmutter siehe Skizze I und
Feststellmutter darf Anschlag (33)- Gewindestift – nicht berühren !

Achtung:
Diese Beschreibung gilt für alle 4 Feststellmuttern.
2 Feststellmuttern mit Rechtsgewinde ( am linken Holm !! )
2 Feststellmuttern mit Linksgewinde ( am rechten Holm !! )

1.10. Adjusting the locking nut (31)

Remove screw tension devices with bars (29).

CAUTION:
For adjustment of the locking nuts (31) located under the adapter (30), the pair of
supporting arms (32) (4 screws) must be dismounted.

Remove the stop screw (33).

Tighten the locking nut (31), check the lever (34) position according to sketch I, and if necessary, correct it.

CORRECTION:
Open the locking nut (31).
Remove the spanner (35) (see sketch III) upward, turn approx. 1/4 rotation to the left and reinsert. Check the
correct lever (34) position, according to sketch I. This procedure must be repeated until the desired position (34)
has been reached.
Insert the stop screw (33) and tighten it, turn back 1/2 turn and secure with Loctite 243.

FUNCTION CHECK:
Check articulated arms (36) for smooth movement, while the locking nut (31) is open.
Check lever (34) position in closed condition, according to sketch I.
The locking nut (31) must not touch the stop (33).

CAUTION:
This description is applicable to all 4 locking nuts;
2 locking nuts (31) with left-hand thread ( at the right bar !! )
2 locking nuts (31) with right-hand thread ( at the left bar !! )

1.11. Austausch PU-Polster ( 19 ) an Beinplatten zu 1140.20

Gewindestift ( 20 ) entfernen ( M5 x 6 )
Endstück ( 21 ) abziehen.
Führungsstange ( 22 ) aus Klemmstück ( 23 ) herausdrehen.
Verschlußstopfen ( 24 ) entfernen.
Schrauben ( 25 ) herausdrehen, Polster ( 19 ) auswechseln.
Montage in umgekehrter Reihenfolge

Achtung:
Klemmstück ( 23 ) muß Kugel spielfrei in den Kugelsitz drücken ggf. nachstellen.

1.12. Einstellung Klemmmechanismus der Beinplatten zu 1140.20

Falls Beinplattenverriegelung nicht korrekt verriegelt, muß Klemmmechanismus

überprüft, ggf. nachgestellt werden.
Klemmkraft auf Kugel kann wie folgt eingestellt werden.
Mit Stellring ( 27 ) Maß 85,5 mm verringern bis Klemmkraft ausreicht.
Gewindestift ( 28 ) mit Loctite 243 sichern.

1.11. Replacing the PU padding (19) – at the leg plates 1140.20

Remove the grub screw (20) (M 5 x 6).

Remove the end piece (21).
Unscrew the guide rod (22) from the clamping piece (23).
Remove the sealing plug (24).
Remove the screws (25). Exchange the padding (19).
Reassemble in reverse order.

CAUTION:
The clamping piece (23) must push the ball (26) into the ball socket without any play.
If necessary, readjust.

1.12. Adjusting the clamping mechanism at the leg plates 1140.20

If the leg plate locking mechanism does not work properly, the clamping mechanism must be
checked and, if necessary, readjusted.

The clamping force on the ball (26) can be adjusted as follows:

Reduce the measure 85.5 mm using the setting collar (27), until the clamping force is sufficient.
Fix the grub screw (28) with Loctite 243.

2. Allgemeine Reparaturhinweise für alle OP-Tischlagerflächen

Service Information

2.1 Austausch der Sperrklinken ( 1 )

Achtung:
Zwei Befestigungsschrauben (2) des Führungsstückes (3) nicht öffnen!
OP-Lagerfläche auf die OP-Säule übernehmen. Zwei verriegelte Sperrklinken
(links, rechts) in die Führungsstücke (3) eindrücken. Op Lagerfläche von der Op Säule
abheben und ablegen.
Gewindestift (4) entfernen. Sperrklinke (1) gegen herausspringen sichern.
Bolzen (5) ausschlagen, Sperrklinke (1) und Feder (6) entfernen; defekte Teile austauschen.

2.2 Exzenterhebeleinstellung

Achtung:
0,3
Spalt zwischen Tellerscheibe (7) und Rahmen max. 1± mm!
Ist die Feststellung zu schwach,müssen Distanzscheiben (8) am Kopf des Exzenterbolzens hinterlegt werden.
(s. Ersatzteilliste )

Zum Öffnen Exzenterhebel (9) lösen, Lagerzapfen (10) entfernen. Tellerscheibe (7) und Gummipuffer
(11) austauschen. Einstellung prüfen (Maß beachten).
Entsprechend Ausgleichsscheiben hinterlegen.

2. General repair informationfor all operating table tops

Service information

2.1 Replacing the locking pawls (1)

Important:

Do not loosen the two fixing screw (2) oh the guide piece (3)
Transfer the table to the operating table column. Press the two pawls (left and right) into the guide
pieces (3). Lift the table top off the column and lay aside.

Remove the set screw (4). Hold the locking pawl (1) to keep it from being dislodged. Drive out the
Pins (5), remove the locking pawl (1) and spring (6), and replace defektive parts.

2.2 Adjusting the eccentric lever

Important:
0,3
The gap between the spring washer (7) and the frame should be a maximum of 1± mm.
If the locking action is too weak, spacer washers (8) will have to be inserted at the head of the eccentric
Pin (see replacement parts list).

To loosen: release the eccentric lever (9) and remove the bearing pin (10). Replace the spring washer (7)

And rubber buffer (11). Check the adjustment (observing the ± mm dimension).
Insert spacer washer as required.

2.3. Polster für Lagerfläche (PU)

Die integralgeschäumten Lagerflächenpolster (1); (Sitzplattenpolster (2), Rückenplattenpolster (3))

sind mit lösbaren Schnappverbindungen von oben auf die Chromnickelstahlholme aufgeklipst.

Abnehmen:
Mit beiden Händen um eine Polsterquerkante fassen und nach oben ziehen.

Anbringen:
Polster auf Schnappverbindung legen und mit leichtem Druck aufschnappen lassen.

2.4. Polster für Lagerfläche (Lectrolite)

Das einteilige Lagerflächenpolster (4) ist mit Klettverschluß auf den Lagerflächenplatten,
Sitzplatte (5) und Rückenplatten (6,7) befestigt.

Anbringen:
Auf richtige Lage des Klettverschlußes achten und das Polster auflegen.
Die einzelnen Lagerflächenplatten sind mit lösbaren Schnappverbindungen von oben
auf die Chromnickelstahlholme aufgeklipst.
Lagerflächenplatte auf Schnappverbindung legen und mit leichtem Druck aufschnappen lassen.

Abnehmen:
Mit beiden Händen auf eine Lagerflächenquerkante fassen und nach oben ziehen,

2.3. Table top pads (PU)

The integrated foam table top pads (1) seat plate pads (2), and back plate pads (3) are clipped to
the chrome-nickel steel rails from above by means of snap-type connectors.
Removal:
Grip one end of the pad with both hands and pull upward.
Attachment:
Position the pad on the clips and seat by applying moderate pressure.

2.4. Table top padding (Lectrolite)

The one-piece table top pad (4) is attached to the table top segments, seat plate (5) and back plates (6,7)
by means of Velcro straps.
Attachment:
Check to make sure that the Velcro strap is positioned properly and then position the pad.
The individual table top plates are clipped to the chrome-nickel steel rails from above by means of
snap-type connectors.
Reattach by positioning the table top plates on the clip fasteners and applying moderate pressure
until they snap in place.
Removal:
Grasp one end of the table top segments with both hands and pull upwards.

2.5. Einstellung Exzenterhebel der Kopfplatten

Die Wartung an der Kopfplatte beschränkt sich auf die Kontrolle der beiden Feststell-Mechanismen.
Ist die Klemmkraft am Drehpunkt (9) nicht mehr ausreichend, kann diese durch Unterlegen
von Ausgleichsscheiben erhöht werden. Bei Drehpunkt (9) lassen sich sowohl die Vorspannung
als auch die eigentliche Klemmkraft nachregulieren.

Drehpunkt (9) – Erhöhung der Vorspannung:

Exzenterhebel (3) öffnen. Schraube (1) anziehen bis Vorspannung in Ordnung ist.

Drehpunkt (9) – Erhöhung der Klemmkraft:

Gewindestift (2) herausdrehen. Exzenterhebel (3) abnehmen. Scheibe (4) gegen eine neue austauschen.
Exzenterhebel (3) und Gewindestift (2) wieder montieren.

Hinweis:
Ist die Klemmkraft immer noch nicht befriedigend, können Ausgleichsscheiben (7)
unter den Flansch des Exzenterbolzens (8) montiert werden.
Dazu Gewindestift (2) herausdrehen, Exzenterbolzen (8) nach oben herausziehen,
Ausgleichsscheiben (7) über den Exzenterbolzen schieben und in
umgekehrter Reihenfolge montieren.

Drehpunkt (10) – Erhöhung der Klemmkraft:

Gewindestift (5) herausdrehen. Exzenterbolzen (6) nach oben herausziehen. Ausgleichsscheiben (7)
über den Exzenterbolzen schieben. Exzenterbolzen (6) und Gewindestift (5) wieder montieren.
Klemmung überprüfen.

2.5 Adjusting the eccentric lever at the head rest

Maintenance for the head rest is limited to checking the two clamping mechanisms.
If the clamping force at the swivel (9) is no longer sufficient, it can be increased by inserting shims.
It is possible to readjust both the pre-load value and the clamping force at the swivel (9).

Swivel (9) - increasing the pre-load:

Release the eccentric lever (3). Tighten down the screw (1) until the pre-load has reached the correct value.

Swivel (9) - increasing the clamping force:

Unscrew the grub screw (2). Remove the eccentric lever (3). Replace the old shim (4) with a new one.
Reinstall the eccentric lever (3) and the grub screw (2)

Note:
If the clamping force is still not satisfactory, shims (7) can be inserted underneath
the flange at the eccentric pin (8). To do so, remove the grub screw (2), pull the
eccentric pin (8) upward to remove, and slide the shims (7) over the eccentric pin.
Reassemble in reverse order.

Swivel (10) - increasing the clamping force

Unscrew the grub screw (5). Pull the eccentric pin (6) upwards to remove.
Slide the shims (7) over the eccentric pin.
Reassemble the eccentric pin (6) and the grub screw (5)
Check the clamping action.
