Standard Operating Procedure

SOPs for Computer controlled TWO-SHAFT GAS TURBINE (TGDEC)

1- Check
a. Emergency stop Button is NOT PUSHED
b. Oil Tank is filled in black container around 5L (see level through stick)
c. Tap Water is available for supply
d. Fully Open Tap Water valve to allow water move in circuit and cool down OIL
TEMPERATURE (Operate through Solenoid Valve AUTOMATIC)
e. Power in Electronic Console (As power comes in console Ventilation Fan TURN ON for 5
min every time for safety and similarly when switched OFF ventilation fan again ON)
f. GAS cylinder valve is fully Open (CLOCLWISE FULLY OPEN)
2- Turn Gas Flow meter to QUARTER TURN (approx. 40 when gas flow)
3- Open Software from Desktop by clicking on TGDEC
4- Press START button (Top left) in software and give it name and path
5- Press SAVE DATA button and input minimum 1 sec
a. If “0” then only one reading saved
b. Any time STOP SAVING button can be pressed if data is not required or not necessary
c. You can press TAKE DATA button any time to save current values
6- Press TURBINE START and then read CONFIRMATION and Press OK
7- Press OPEN TURBINE STATUS and immediately press READY TO START before it goes grey
8- Check status of SAVE DATA button for convenience
9- Now Turbine will start Automatic Keep eye on Gas Regulator pressure must be greater than 1.4
bar and less than 2.4; flow rate must be in between 35 to 50 mentioned in ATEX Flow meter
a. After Turbine start you can vary flow till value 70-75
b. Turbine will STOP working if NO GAS or close gas Flow meter valve
10- TURN OFF TURBINE OPERATION BY STOPPING GAS TO ENTER IN A SYSTEM
11- Stop DATA SAVING BUTTON
12- If need to consecutive run please follow procedure below:
a. If TURBINE START button is Highlighted then:
i. Follow step 5 to 11
b. If TURBINE START button is Grey then:
i. Open ELECTRIC PANEL placed near to HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE
ii. There is a ON/OFF switch placed in right side of middle ROW with fuse
designated for AUTO/MANUAL operation (See sticker inside same panel door)
iii. Press it UP for Manual operation
iv. Go back to software now TURBINE START BUTTON highlights
v. Press this button and then OK
vi. Press OPEN TURBINE STATUS and press RESET ALARM button then CLOSE
button
 vii. Go to Electric Panel and Press AUTO/MANUAL switch to DOWN for automatic
operation
viii. Now follow step 5 to 11
