At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

CO1 Understand Developmental History of automobile; Relate to the Indian Market Know Major
Players, Apply layout concepts for Ideation 2WD/4WD/AWD

CO2 Understand the operation of engine Fuel carburetion, Injection SI/CI. Cooling, lubrication syst.
Define ,Design and Communicate a set of requirements for Power Train Design to satisfy given
criteria for vehicle motive power – real life problems. Analyze gear speed patterns.

CO3 Understand the principles of Transmission, Suspension, Steering and Braking systems.
Apply concepts for determining size of Clutch, Drive Train and Brakes – real life problems

CO4 Understand principles of automotive Electricals / Electronics- ignition, and charging system.

CO5 Self Study development trends in automobiles , get exposed to concurrent engineering and
