Full Time Lecturer
(Mechanical Engineering)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct lectures and tutorials in the respective area of specialisation
- Mark and moderate all related course work and assessments
- Conduct student counselling and manage associate lecturers
- Liaise with university course co-ordinators on curriculum matters
- Develop and review course curriculum and materials
- Work with relevant departments to promote programmes enrollment and retention.
Key Requirements:
- A PhD or Master’s degree in Engineering or related disciplines
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level and 5 years of relevant working
experience
- Ability to relate to students of diverse academic and social backgrounds
- Able to teach both day and evening classes
- Multi-disciplinary academic experience would be beneficial.

Head of Programme – University of London Programmes (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:
- To provide overall academic leadership, oversee academic operations and quality
assurance of the Programmes
- Directing the quality of teaching and delivery within the Programmes
- Liaise closely with university on academic matters
- Prepare programme and module review reports
- Monitor all students admitted to the Programmes, supervise enrolment and registration
processes
- Engage in student development by providing strong learning support and monitoring of
students’ academic performances
- Assist in marketing, promotion and delivery of the Programmes
- Assist in course previews and new student orientation
- Coordinate course development resources and projects
- Work closely with Head of School to ensure that the programmes are optimized to drive
profitability (in terms of duration, class sizes, entry requirements, etc.)
- Learning & Development
- To contribute to departmental, faculty, or institution-wide working groups or committees as
requested
- To maintain own continuing professional development, in addition to training and
development provided by the institution
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree in Business
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience and, preferably, 2 to 3 years as an Academic Head
of UOL Programmes
- Experience with leading faculty and adapting to a multicultural setting, with strong
interpersonal skills and the ability to handle international staff and students
- Possess strong subject knowledge
- Possess instructional and pedagogical skills
- Possess influencing and communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Customer/Student-oriented
- Passion for learning and sharing
- Strong teamwork
- Ability to relate to students of diverse academic and social backgrounds
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
