MOTIVATION LETTER

It may still be our question all about the epidemiology of diseases related to gender, there are a
number of diseases that affect many male gender. There are also a number of diseases that attack
female gender. During this time in our lecture we only "yes" and followed it, but in myself I
personally thought that there must be something related to why the epidemiology of disease is
related to one of the existing genders.

This right will be very interesting when all over the world are currently aggressively discussing the
future of world health, namely through the global health security agenda. I, as an Indonesian,
honestly is very concerned and eager to learn about this. Since 2014, the global helath security
agenda has been declared by Indonesia as the country that is also the most concerned and
believed to be a "troika" or steering group with 2 other countries, namely the US of America and
Finland. what will be discussed later in MM will be very influential for the future of medicine and
health.

The discussion of gender equality will never stop to be discussed in various countries, there are
still many differences in treatment between men and women. Ranging from household problems
to political problems and leaders. More than that because I am a medical student, it is very
interesting to dig deeper into the epidemiology of the diseases concerned with gender. As medical
students, we need to make a research about it, not to exchange the goods and services, climate
changes, ozone damage, unraveling plastic waste, and increasingly instant food that worsens the
situation and our children and grandchildren can no longer enjoy health in his old age.
My participation in the ISMKI team is very relevant in this event, as one of ISMKI's focuses in
expanding understanding of issues is about the global health security agenda. Because MM 2019's
vision and mission of GHSA are the same, namely #healthforAll. Not only for all at this time but
#healthforAll for the future too, for our children and grandchildren. This is what motivates me to
join the MM IFMSA 2019. The answers to the discussion on the theme of "gender in health care"
will greatly equip me, the university, and the ISMKI to develop this research in Indonesia and the
provision of compiling studies on new issues and advocacy needs.
