What does Clarendon College stand for?

Clarendon College is a private institution located in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. Established in 1996, the school provides
education opportunities for the local residents of Oriental Mindoro, providing a number of courses which are
recognized by the Commission on Higher Education.

At present, Clarendon College serves as home to students who are taking up bachelors degrees in Elementary
Education, Business Administration, Information Systems, Travel Management, and Secondary Education (English,
Filipino, Math). Just recently, it added another course in its curriculum: the Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education
specializing in Visual Arts, Music, Dance, and Drama.

Aside from the tertiary levels, Clarendon College also has the complete set of the Academic Track for Senio HIgh
School that the students can choose from (/Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM); Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS); as well as the General Academic
Strand (GAS).

Clarendon College History

Inspired by their mother, Lucille Tesorero, Lucille Tesorero-Bacay and Flerie Tesorero-Tesado founded Clarendon
College. Founded in 1996, formerly Clarendon Montessori. With only two classrooms on the ground floor of an
apartment building at Bagumabayan, Roxas Oriental Mindoro. In the next two years (1998) Clarendon Montessori has
grown with the support of the PTA officers and were able to acquire a lot in Brgy. Odiong where the school is now
situated with 18 classrooms, and also a library, an H.E. room, a speech laboratory, a science laboratory room and a
computer room. After five of service in the community, the High School Department was opened, expanding from the
elementary years to the secondary years. A Debating Society was opened spearheaded by Mr. Leo Dodi Tesado to
train students the art of public speaking. About Clarendon College.

Year 2002, saw the birth of the college Department and taking the big challenge of offering tertiary education. The
courses offered were Bachelor of elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education. The following year saw the
offering of another course, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Year 2006, the first batch of Education
students graduate and with none other than Ms. Gemma Cruz-Araneta gracing the event as the commencement
speaker. Through the years, Clarendon College has remained steadfast and true to its vision of bringing forth the seed
of quality education exemplified by its graduates from the Secondary Department and College Department. The
college, throught its President, Engr. Juanito A. Bacay Jr. and movers, is very active

forward the frontiers of education and sound outlook in students painstakingly taking the challenge of continuous
improvement both physical and educational needs of the students. This resulted in the acquisition of speech
laboratory equipments and paving the way for the first speech laboratory probably among schools in the municipality
of Roxas. Clarendon College, braving the times, had taken one giant step forward y ending students overseas.
Business Administration students who are now graduates have their jobs in Thailand and Singapore. BSBA students in
Singapore are now working. This is indeed a statement that our students are prepared to meet the challenges of
global competitiveness.

Clarendon is moving towards the challenge of the new millennium by braving the challenge statement that our

strengthening its commitment to a more sound future for the people of Roxas and other neighboring municipalities.
