What this module is about:

Good day! This module will begin a new experience for machine shorthand students. It
will be an interesting and easy way to gain more knowledge and skills about machine shorthand.
In this module, you will learn new keys like letter Q and numbers 1 and 5, abbreviations, and
words ending in –shun and –thing. More so, activity and self-check are presented at the end of
the lesson. Have fun!

What you are expected to learn:

In this module, you are expected to:

1. Identify new letters, number keys and abbreviations.

2. Familiarize with the sound pattern of the words, abbreviations, and words ending in –
shun and –thing.

3. Perform keyboard practices and new principles on stenograph keyboard.

4. Show interest and willingness to practice and answer the activities given.

How to learn from this module:

If you have a stenograph keyboard, don’t hesitate to try striking the keys. If there’s no
available stenograph keyboard, craft a keyboard using an illustration board with printed keys.
Start by familiarizing the new keys and be able to do the keyboard practices. Answer the
activities after the lesson as well as the pre and post test. Good Luck!
