MASTERY IN SHORTHAND KEYBOARD

LET’S RECALL (SKILL BUILDING)

Review of brief forms and phrases. Write these sentences. Repeat any phrase or word
which is difficult to you. Relax and let your fingers do the writing.

The pear is rare. Sara is the State Street. Is the statue at your store?
The superintendent is to praise the president’s tour.
Start the tour on Tuesday. The plaintiff is present at the important tour.

MASTERFUL USE OF LETTER COMBINATION

You will notice that the keyboard does not have all the letters of the alphabet. The genius
of the machine shorthand keyboard is that it is so arranged that it permits to write all the vowels
and consonant sounds through the masterful use of letter combinations to represent these letters
which are missing. The writing of letter combination allows you to keep your fingers close to
home row position for complete control of all speed levels during dictation.
DEALING WITH THE FIRST LETTER
COMBINATION:
Vowel I and initial N
