has been a great success. The new village website looks great so we have
changed the look of the newsletter to suit …. If the village likes it then we shall

Higher Kinnerton Drama Society
Kinnerton Drama Society (KDS) is currently trying to gain new
members to get involved. Whether it is performing, working
backstage, building sets or anything we would really appreciate the
help. This years production is ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.
Rehearsals are in the Village Hall every Tuesday evening at 6.30pm If you need any further details

Higher Kinnerton Community Council
Elections for the nine Community Councillors posts will take place during May next year. A number
of the current council members will be standing down so places will be available. HKCC is one of the
most progressive community councils within Flintshire, we are seen as an example to others in
terms of our governance, finance and community focus. If you would like to become a community
councillor and would like more details, please contact Liz Corner, Clerk to HKCC. Or contact any of

Higher Kinnerton Village Hall Management Committee
In accordance with the Village Hall Trust Deed, notice is hereby given of the
Village Hall AGM on Thursday 20th October 2016 at 7:30 in the Blue Room.
The AGM will be followed by the popular Annual Cheese and Wine Supper.
Any person over the age of 18 who lives within a two mile radius of the
Village Hall is invited to attend. The Village Hall is an integral part of the
Community and the Management Committee consists of residents living
within the two mile radius of the Village Hall. We are in need of younger members with 20/20 vision to
take the Hall into the next decade. Please give us your support and join us. Nominations for
appointment as Members of the Management Committee are invited and must be received by the
Secretary no later than Wednesday 12th October 2014. For more details and an information pack

Indoor bowls is a great social activity and if you are looking for something to
do in the village over the winter months why not give it a go. We meet every
Wednesday from 6.30pm to 9pm in the Village Hall ( Main Hall). We have

bowls you can use and the only thing you need is flat shoes. Our members are
happy to coach you. For further information contact Mel on 01244 660784
The afternoon tea was a great success and £645 was raised on the day. Many thanks to everybody
that attended and for the generous donations of raffle prizes and cakes. Thanks also for the donations
and support from The Swan and Tesco who kindly contributed towards the refreshments. A special
thank you to the wonderful team who helped on the day keeping the tea flowing and plates filled.
Monies raised from the Fun Quiz on the 8th October will further swell the donations to Macmillan. All
money raised will help provide nurses and support cancer patients and their families.
Gareth Evans (HKCC) attended the presentation on behalf of the village. Mathew
Coles and Divij Mareddy attended to collect the Special Schools award on behalf of
Ysgol Derwen.
