“We Rise by Lifting Others”

Importance of CHARITY in School

 An organization set up to provide help and raise money for those in

need.
 The voluntary giving of help, typically in the form of money, to those in
need.
 Kindness and tolerance in judging others.
 Charity is the act of giving help to those in need of it. It is
a humanitarian act. It involves giving money, goods or time and effort to
those who need it. It is done without expecting something in return.
 Giving money or food to poor people is an example of charity. Poor, sick
or injured people are generally considered the proper people to whom
charity should be given. When such people are not supported, they often
begin begging, which is directly asking for help from people they do not
know.[1]
 Others may rely on support from charitable organizations. These
organizations collect money and goods and then give them to those in
need.
 Most charities are concerned with providing basic needs, such as food,
water, clothing, health care and shelter. The most common form of
charity is donating money. The money is then used to buy these basic
needs. However, there are many other actions that may be performed
as charity, such as teaching orphans, donating blood, or money to help
fund medical research.
 Charitable giving can be a responsibility in many religions. This kind of
charity is called almsgiving or alms. In Islam, for example, it is
called zakat. It is one of the five most important duties of being a
Muslim.
 We have come to the conclusion that charity is only when you
give goods, services or money without personal gain, benefit
or recognition of any kind. True charity is anonymous. It
begins and ends within YOURSELF.

Aims and Objectives of Charity:

1. Charitable objectives can vary depending upon a nonprofit
organization's nature, location, size and other traits.
2. Aims are generally a group's broad goals, while objectives are specific
plans dedicated to achieving these goals.
3. For example, a nonprofit might establish an objective of having an
annual fundraiser to achieve the aim of providing money for medical
research.
4. Although every charity has slightly different aims and objectives, both
aspects help charities establish the steps for carrying out their missions.
5. By organizing their aims and objectives into actions, charities can more
effectively serve the groups they set out to help.
