according to His teachings...

A disciple of Christ is one who is following and learning to be like Christ—
learning to think, to feel, and to act as He does...A disciple is one who loves
the Lord and serves Him with all of his or her heart, might, mind, and strength

Matthew 20:25–29

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that
the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them,
and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be
great among you, let him be your minister;
27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,
but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Leadership that serves and ministers, loves and supports, and blesses
other people.

A Leader:
leads from strength rather than from uncertainty or weakness. constant. Leads by
example. Is with and serve those to be led. patient, pleading, loving leader. kind, yet firm.
A great leader listens not only to others, but also to his conscience and to the promptings

the gospel is not simply faith; rather, the first
principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Saving faith centers in the Savior and through Him in
the Father (see Bruce R. McConkie, A New Witness for
the Articles of Faith, p. 164)...

DPC Lesson #2. A disciple recognizes that faith in

the Savior is a spiritual gift and appropriately seeks
for that gift in his or her life. Faith is not a trait to be
developed or a reward to be earned. Rather, it is a gift
we receive from God...
President Joseph F. Smith also has taught:
‘Faith is always a gift of God to man, which is obtained
by obedience, as all other blessings are.’ (Gospel
Doctrine, p.212)
