A $25 million dollar food gift manufacturing and distribution company.
Senior Programmer/Analyst
Responsible for maintaining and updating third party manufacturing software (WorkWise),
developing Business Object Reports, writing SQL Queries and supporting the user
community.
• Developed tools and process to remove historical information from the daily server
processing but retain that information in data repository for future reporting needs,
resulting in improved processing time.
• Developed Stored Procedures to simplify data formats making it much easier to develop
and run ad hoc reports as needed.
• Created an ACCESS database to automate the process of tracking, calculating and
producing statements for Artist Royalties due.
• Led the migration of the organization’s software from a mid-range computer to
client/server environment.

• Modified software, wrote reports and was instrumental in making procedure changes for
reporting inventory transactions resulting in fewer inventory write offs.
• Researched and prepared the Return On Investment (ROI) analysis to justify the purhcase
of a document archival and retrieving system. This resulted in postage and forms
savings, increased retrieval time, and eliminated filing time.
• Analyzed and modified the software to automatically produce sub-assembly shop orders
at the same time that main item shop orders were produced which combined two
processes in to one process. This resulted in a time savings for the production scheduler
and ensured the availability of the sub-assemblies.

Responsible for managing all aspects of Hardware and Software for the internal Information
System infrastructure for 50 employees.
• Managed entire migration from a DEC micro computer to a DEC VAX computer
including installing an ethernet backbone, terminals, printers and the operating system.
• Managed the upgrade of third party ERP system (WorkWise TCM). This entire effort
resulted in increased performance and system reliability
• Led an initiative to tighten inventory controls including writing procedures for inventory
movement, bar coding hardware procurement, and modifying the software to handle bar
coding and simplified inventory transactions. Deployed additional terminals for ease of
entering the inventory movement. The overall result was a significant improvement in
the accuracy of inventory information.
