About the Departments
The Departments of Physics & Chemistry were established in 1985, serve with the
dynamic mission to achieve excellence in both academic and research
perspectives. The departments are equipped with good lab facilities
and dedicated faculty members. The departments offer M.Sc., M.Phil
and Ph.D., programs apart from supporting B.Tech Engineering courses.
The staff members constantly engage in research activities in various
interdisciplinary elds of science & technology. The current areas of research
of the departments are Biophysics, Spectroscopy, Materials Science, Crystal
growth, Thin lms, Polymer Composites, Organic Synthesis, Targeted Drug
Delivery, Catalysis, Inorganic Materials, Complexes and Nanomaterials.
Location
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is located at Padur about 22 km,
south of Chennai on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mahabalipuram Road) amidst a lush
green stretch of landsite. The university is well connected to the city by public
transport service. Apart from this, the University operates its own eet of transport
for the convenience of students and staff members.
Focus of the Conference
Solid is one of the fundamental states of matter which exhibits wide variety
of physico-chemical properties and is the most active and fascinating area
of research. Materials are designed and synthesized at all length scales from
atomic to microscopic levels with different effective dimensionalities. The
understanding of solid state systems has led to a wealth of discoveries and
much technological advancements. The solid state system can be tailored in
order to improve the properties of solids and ultimately to provide the scientic
underpinning of future technologies. This conference aims to have an exciting
forum for presentation and discussion on recent advances in the eld of
solid state physics and chemistry. This conference will serve as a platform to
share, update and disseminate the knowledge among the participants,
academicians, engineers, eld experts and industrialist across the nation.

Call for Papers
Apart from the plenary lecture series, this conference invites oral and poster
presentation to showcase the research ndings in the eld of Advanced Materials.
The authors have to submit one-page abstract as a MS word le. The abstract
should be prepared in the following format: Text Type: Times New Roman,
Font Size: 14 (Bold) - Title, 11- Author name, Afliation, & mail ID, 12 – body,
Reference number should be cited inside the parenthesis, for eg. [1]. Abstracts
should be mailed to icpcs2019@gmail.com on or before 25.02.19. The accepted
abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.
Special Journal Issue
The authors are requested to submit full length original research papers not exceeding
10 pages upon receiving the acceptance notication for the submitted abstract on or
before 28.02.19. The selected papers will be published at free of cost in International Journal of
Scientic and Review (UGC approved Journal). Submitted papers must not be under
consideration by any other Journal for publication. The selection process will be based
on the peer reviewers' recommendation. The authors are strictly advised to prepare
their manuscript according to the prescribed format.
