a. Pre lesson:
TIME  teacher recalls yesterday’s lesson by asking pupils to give examples of common nouns and
proper nouns
 teacher emphasizes the use of capital letters for proper nouns
 teacher gets the pupils to name 5 things and 5 people in the classroom
 teacher writes them on the board
THEME
World of Self b. While lesson:
 Mainstream : Tree map of common and proper nouns:
o teacher distributes mahjong paper
o pupils make their tree map in groups
o pupils must categorise the nouns into common and proper nouns
TOPIC
o pupils paste their tree map around the class followed by gallery walk
UNIT 1  Linus: Complete the text with words and pictures guidance:

o pupils choose 3 common nouns and 3 proper nouns
o teacher guides the pupils to complete the tree map
