What is the Hardware Key?

The Sentinel SuperPro hardware key is a memory device that provides the responses necessary
to unlock your application. The application will not have full functionality without the hardware lock attached
to machine and Sentinel SuperPro Server installed on the machine. The application sends calls to the
hardware key to verify its presence. If the correct hardware key is attached to the computer serving as the
MDTools license server, it responds to the application calls with the appropriate responses, allowing the
user to access the application. The Sentinel SuperPro hardware key is programmed to serve as a
standalone license, or as a network license for multiple network users. This must be attached to the USB
port of the machine serving as your license server for MDTools. For standalone licenses, it must be attached
to the USB port of your local machine.

What is the Sentinel SuperPro Server?

The user must install the Sentinel SuperPro Server on the same machine where the hardware key
is located. This server manages licensing and security for the protected application. The server is the link
between the application and the hardware key, located on the machine.

How Does Sentinel SuperPro Obtain a License?

Your application sends a call to find a hardware key and obtain a license to the machine that is
specified as the license server within MDTools. For standalone licenses, this will be your local machine. If
the key is found on the MDTools license server machine, it sends a positive response back.

To install Sentinel Superpro driver

a. Click on “License Server”.
